  1. Well, Baez weakly flew out to RF. He swung at three balls up and away out of the zone by about 6-9" each. He is such an undisciplined free swinger. Meanwhile, Hedbert continues to come on and improve as a hitter before our eyes. Two free passes earlier and now has extended his hit streak to 9 Games with a single under the diving 1B glove into RF. Go-ahead run back on base in the 8th.Yhoswar Garcia pops up sky high to shallow RF to 2B (Hey, $0.35 to ME!). Two down. Diaz to the dish who has looked fairly overmatched throughout. Let's hope he can come through.
  2. Flores pitches that elusive 1-2-3 top of the 8th. Great Scotts! I eagerly await Baez over-extending and K'ng to lead off the T-Rats half.
  3. A fitting 'Je ne sais quoi!' with the Brewers surrendering the likely losing 1-0 run on an Ashby WP. 2025 won't stop 2025'ng.😅
  4. FOLKS we have a 2-3-2 Area Code down in Arizonnnnnna. Crew jump ahead 7-5 and it may not be over. Extra Extra. Man on 2B. One down. We got a 2-3-2 on the speed dial!!!
  5. Burke now sneaks a ground ball double inside the first base line - his 11th of his season. Go-ahead run now standing at 2B. Dinges to the dish. Two down bottom of 7th. 4-4 game. T-Rats have not led in this game. AND, they will continue to not do so. Dinges K's on a 2-2 dead center hook. Just under it.
  6. Eduardo Garcia. Pay dirt. 107.8 mph. 380.6 feet over the LF wall. 4-4 game. Bottom of the 7th. two down. Sixth of his season. Third vs the Chiefs.
  7. If I earned a nickel for watching every T-Rat sky high infield pop up this evening I'd have like $0.30.
  8. Guilarte digs it clean on a chopper to 3B. He shows none of the sure fire moxy from earlier innings. Short arms a throw. Burke rescues him with an adept scoop at 1B for the final out. I swear. These T-Rats. Nothing is ever easy with this team. Just not a sound ball club.
  9. AND, now we have four free passes and Flores air mails a throw back to 2B for an E1. He threw to 2B like he's been throwing to home plate tonight. Brutal. He gets the comebacker, however, and spears it for a run down out on the 3B/Home base line. Two down. Men on the corners.
  10. That's Flores' fourth walk in 1 1/3 IP. Two men on. One down. He is missing big on these misses too. They are not close.
  11. With Woody rehabbing tomorrow, you know Estevez would like for Flores to finish this outing. He gets the pitch clock violation, now, to fall 3-1. Already a walk in this inning. Man on first. One down.
  12. Flores has 3 BB in 1 1/3 IP. Not sharp. In fairness, he has been used primarily as a Starter of late. May be an adjustment or some residue.
  13. All for naught. Yhoswar goes down looking. Diaz goes down swinging late on a high outside heater after Hedbert had left for 2B.
  14. Two free passes for Hedbert tonight. You love to see it. Especially after last week's productive series.
  15. Baez can't come up with a makable sliding stop up the hole for the final out at 2B. Would have been a tricky play but the play was there to be made to end the inning. Instead, two men on. Two down. AND a single into LF scores the go-ahead run for the Chiefs. T-Rats trail 4-3 to the bottom of the 6th. Flores wasn't sharp that inning. Two free passes.
  16. I quite like the recent version of Broca we are seeing. Sitting 92-93 mph on his heater. Throwing in that hook with a really effective mid 80's change-up. IF he can stay around the zone he can find quite a bit more success in the Midwest League than his earlier outings.
  17. A Yhoswar ground out to 2B advances Perez. Baez pokes a flare liner to RF. Men on the corners. A 1B foul territory fly out and Perez adeptly tags - nice base running mojo there. 3-3. Areinamo skies a pop up for the second AB in a row to end it. On to the 5th. Broca does indeed replace Quintana.
  18. Quintana mercifully helps his T-Rats teammates escape with the weak chopper to Baez at 2B. Phew. My goodness. So sloppy. 3-2 regardless and, hey, Quintana got some more pitches in there. That's what we're after in the end. Yeah, that's it.
  19. Nope. Quintana stays aboard. Has the pick off and Blake Burke absolutely butchers the run down. 😅 That was hilarious. Well, in fairness, he was throwing to Baez who is never reliable to make the play anywhere. AND, following up a single to RF. Hedbert with a glorious one hop throw on a one hop line to Guilarte who botches the catch and tag. SO, that's two outs the T-Rats blow. Because, well, they are the 2025 T-Rats. Embarrassing baseball there. They don't even give Guilarte the error because, well, if you've been paying attention to Minor League scoring in 2025...they do not know what they are looking at. 😅 Pitch count at 67.
  20. I am just now noticing my AI assist auto-corrected my earlier entries to 'Jorge Quintana.' 😂 I'm going to leave it and see if I get the patented name correctors to give me the business. JOSE grabbed his third K but just issued his first walk and with the pitch count at 63 O'Neil will likely check to see if he wants to call his outing. This is where, pre-game, he said he'd likely exit.
  21. Quintana starts the fourth frame. Pitch count 47. You love to see this. Good rehab work.
  22. Sac Fly to right CF. Guilarte scores. Garcia advances to 3B. 3-2 deficit.
  23. T-Rats threatening in the Bottom of the 3rd. Bases juiced for Dinges. One down.
