  1. I agree in general but if he's just returning from a minor back issue, no need to press him for no real reason, I think.
  2. The first few innings were a lot of fun but I'm ready for this game to be over. Just close this thing out and go home, everyone.
  3. I'm paying DirecTV Stream $93/mo to watch Twins games and the occasional Wolves game. I literally watch nothing on live television other than sports and 95% of my sports watching is baseball. $190/yr sounds great to me. I hope they allow out-of-market purchases because I'll buy both BS North and BS Wisconsin without hesitation. Now we just need MLB to make MLB Network a $20 add-on to MLB.tv.
  4. Let's not use this small sample size as more conclusive than the previous small sample size. People tend to overreact in both directions; it's a long baseball season, the pendulum has a lot more swings in it.
  5. Oh, definitely. I don't lament that they exist, they just aren't my thing. Though the Southside one was pretty good and the Space City one is novel in a fun way.
  6. I get that but baseball also plays all around the country and about one-third of games played are outside your time zone and don't adhere to that schedule anyway.
  7. I feel bad for Votto. He's a delightful human being and is too good for that franchise.
  8. I'm almost starting to feel bad for the Reds. No one deserves to play for this owner under these circumstances with this record. #tradevotto
  9. So it's maybe possible the good - or at least better - version of Yelich is back. Consecutive elevated rifle shots.
  10. Oh, I agree the bullpen approach could very well be better - and probably is - but there are also tickets to be sold and Hunter Greene in the bullpen doesn't put butts in seats (or on couches).
  11. As far as City Connect designs go, these aren't bad. The bigger problem is that I can't stand the City Connect designs.
  12. I think once the Reds went full-blown rebuild, there was no reason not to put him in the rotation. But other teams use the bullpen-to-rotation approach. The Twins are doing it with Josh Winder right now.
  13. Okay, I think I'm starting to see why Greene's peripherals aren't great despite him throwing 100mph.
  14. Went for a short walk to enjoy the spring weather, came back, and... um... yeah...
  15. After making the postseason for the first time in 1981, the 1982 Brewers stumbled out of the gate, losing 14 of 21 games and putting manager Buck Rodgers on the hot seat. Ultimately, Rodgers was fired in early June and replaced by interim manager Harvey Kuenn, who helped lead the Crew to their first World Series appearance that season. Featured in this video is a (very young) Bud Selig who was interviewed about the mid-season managerial change.
