  1. We gave up four prospects to get CC and Michael Brantley is the only one of them that went on to have a respectable major league career. I just don't think the risk is very high to make these trades to make a run at a championship. Go grab Skubal. An average hitting SS or 3B would not cost that much. If we do that, then I'll get excited about the postseason.
  2. The Summer of Sal! Brewers squeak out another one. For as erratic as Sproat was, he did only give up one run.
  3. Could you imagine being against the Sabathia trade because Matt LaPorta was the next big thing?
  4. That's actually all the more reason to use them for trade bait.
  5. Yeah, we have a lot of fun here with all the Vulture talk, but he really is exhibit A in why pitcher wins are overrated.
  6. Those balls actually go over the fence when you don't hit them to dead center.
  7. Probably left Rodriguez in a little too long. Thank you.
  8. The only thing unpredictable about that is he went to the left side.
  9. This offense is overmatched by top of the line pitching.
  10. It was apparent he was cooked after his initial injury. A pitcher can't bounce back from that when you're on the wrong side of 30. Unfortunate.
  11. What a shameful loss. How do you outhit your opponent 12-4 and still lose?
  12. But we have more regular season wins than everybody except for the Dodgers so there can't be any weaknesses on this team to address.
  13. I live a mile from the lakefront. I can see them out my living room window just fine.
  14. I'm fine with Uribe and Megill but yeah, with Woody likely done for the season if not his career and Harrison regressing some, gotta get that starter and at least an average hitting SS/3B.
  15. The base running this weekend has left a lot to be desired.
  16. Turang has three hits including two doubles and Yelich hit a home run. I'd keep them where they are if they don't put Yelich hitting seventh.
  17. If not now, then when? Or are you just like Mark A and content just to make the playoffs?
