Like I said before, I don't see how it makes a difference. All things start equal either with the bases empty or a runner on second.

Is it the primary goal? I'm just assuming that. Either way I still don't like it. I'm a traditionalist.

So the entire point of starting a runner on second is to try and end games ASAP if I'm not mistaken, and both teams score anyway. I don't see how this rule makes a lick of difference.
