    This Wrigley North thing is so overblown. Since 2018 we have a 35-23 record over the Cubs at home.

    Are these announcers really talking about who the Cubs start in Game 5? Murphy has to band aid together a bullpen game.

    Maddux was not all that great in the postseason in his career. Neither was Glavine. Smoltz was the Braves #3 and I'd take him over those two in a heartbeat in October.

    Exactly. Mark A and this organization are content to just make the playoffs. The only hope we have is that our young homegrown core grow and peak their way to a championship before they take off in five years to play for the Dodgers and Yankees.

    That's the sad part. I know it won't happen.

    I don't want to hear any more about how this is a successful model in building a winning team. Maybe for regular season success but sure as hell not for October. Teams need to spend money to go deep. Get Schwarber this winter. That's all I ask.

    I heard the other day that teams that go up 2-0 in a best of five win the series 89% of the time. That's going to drop to 88% on Saturday.
