    Okay, a couple of things. The word "you", as in "you can't lose"....etc, doesn't have to mean YOU, i.e. Turbo. If I'd said "one can't lose" there would surely have been some comment about that. Also, I've been a member of this site (under another name) since, oh, around 2004, when Brian ran Brewerfan. Not sure what an ad hominem attack on my posting numbers has to do with the point I made. I guarantee I'm not the only one who doesn't post as much as they used to, due to how toxic this site can sometimes be. It IS easier to be pessimistic than the opposite. I'm not the only one to mention "the usual suspects" when it comes to immediate comments on every trade the FO makes. Hot takes ripping on the new guy we traded for while usually overvaluing our prospects, before they've played a single game. I'm not saying that I KNEW Bauers would be who he is now. That's my point. Nobody knows for certain, but most post opinion as fact. It just gets old...

    Yes, hindsight is easy, but so is constant pessimism. You can't lose - either you're right and get to victory lap another hot take, or you're wrong, and the Brewers benefit = win/win. Yes, anyone who claims they saw who Bauers would be in 2026 WITH CERTAINTY is a liar, so is everyone who predicts the opposite before a bat has even been swung. And, frankly, that post is WAY more prevalent on this site. Also, LFG Brewers!!!

    It's been 2 quality teams dukeing (sp?) it out over 3 very hard fought games. All the forensic analysis about whose to blame overlooks the fact that we've had a top 5 scoring team that hasn't scored, and a top defense that hasn't defended well. That's playoff baseball sometimes. The crucible is hotter, for both sides. Last time I checked, we're still 2-1, and honestly, both teams could have advanced 3-0 with a couple breaks. Padres are still a team LOADED with superstars, and we're winning with 22 year olds! If we'd been offered a game 5 at home with Miz pitching before the series, MOST here would have taken that. It's squeaky bum time, but I still believe. Gonna have to watch the game tonight at the Mexican restaurant the missus and I will be in for her birthday. Never mind Mason Miller timing his babies badly, what is she THINKING having birthdays during playoffs!

    An umpire, ANY umpire, has one job. To uphold the rules of the game as they apply to that particular match-up. Opinions don't really have a place in situations where uniform code is in place. Add Eddings to the list of power trippers to fill the void of Angel Hernandez and Joe West, IMO.

    I've been on the various iterations of this board since Wendy was in charge and I'll stand by my comment. Maybe it's just that the loudest voices in opposition to the F.O. tend to be consistent and persistent in their criticism of owners and F.O. (Mark A is cheap, etc). In addition to pretty much EVERY manager this century. The Crew are winning IN SPITE OF 2- time manager of the year Murphy seems to be the consensus opinion. If you think it's 95% positive, then I don't know what to tell you.

    Frankly, this board does WAY MORE criticizing the front office than praising it. Which seems weird given how they've positioned the smallest market team in the league year after year.

    This move might work, it might not. However, to suggest, as some here have, that Boston is some sort of powerhouse of baseball strategy is laughable. The Devers saga was handled badly, they have consistently underperformed relative to their budget in the last few years, and the Priester trade, for one, looks lopsided. Brewers FO has targeted market inefficiencies, and defense and speed over raw power, (at power positions),it seems. Until it doesn't work, it's working.
