  1. There's gotta be one, but I'm gonna wait for the new season of Whipping Boy Idol!
  2. This move might work, it might not. However, to suggest, as some here have, that Boston is some sort of powerhouse of baseball strategy is laughable. The Devers saga was handled badly, they have consistently underperformed relative to their budget in the last few years, and the Priester trade, for one, looks lopsided. Brewers FO has targeted market inefficiencies, and defense and speed over raw power, (at power positions),it seems. Until it doesn't work, it's working.
  3. Dodgers fan in "Don't blame the Dodgers, look at this shiny thing over here" rant. Here's Tom with the weather...
  4. I thought, for sure, it was gonna be one of the posters here on Brewerfan that would win it, based on how they would have done things differently! ;)
  5. I've been on this board, and its other iteration, for over 20 years. I've always believed it to be such a cop-out to be a Chicken Little pessimist. The Brewers win - much happiness ensues. The Brewers lose - see, I told you so, ain't I smart. But, flags fly forever, David does sometimes beat Goliath. As long as we have a chip and a chair, there's hope. Go Brewers, and stop coming at me with those negative waves, Moriarty!
  6. Yeah, the first 10 posts saying the same thing kinda gave that away....
  7. Conspiracy theories aside, if you don't want players stealing signs, don't allow them to get to 2nd base!
  8. Welcome to the "I wouldn't have done that" game thread on Brewerfan. I've no idea if the alternative would have worked, but what the Brewers did got us the win. That's all that matters. Go Brewers. Send the fibs home early on Wednesday!
  9. It wasn't for Ashby early on.
  10. It's one louder!
  11. Yeah, MLBtv. A couple games on AppleTV every year is one thing. I live in Phoenix and MLB has decided that those 6 games against the Dbacks don't count despite me paying for the privilege. Grrr.
  12. I find it hard to rail against any provider when i pay $30 a month to watch MLBtv and they still blackout any games against the Dbacks...
  13. Here's an interesting fact. I sold a set of golf clubs to Eduardo Rodriguez (and Justin Martinez) in Spring Training. And helped Aaron Ashby get a new putter the day before his first rehab game, a week or so later! Brewers juju for both guys tonight. Hehe.
  14. I'd take Reynolds on the Brewers any day of the week. Even in the "wily veteran" stage of his career. He's the definition of a Brewers archetype player, and one of my favorites.
  15. If you'd said the Brewers would have a double- digit winning streak WITHOUT Chourio in the lineup, I'd have been checking the calendar to see if it was early April.
  16. It didn't completely ease the pain of the wild card loss to the Mets, but feed this feeling right into my veins!
  17. My take on this is just that the Mets don't have the pinch hit weapons that require another lefty, instead of Mears. If we advance, I'd say there's a chance Hudson will be back.
