Pretty obvious what Keuchel needs to do to stick around--put the off speed stuff low & on corners, get swings on that stuff, and then maybe he can put himself in a position where he throws upper 80s & it can look like 95. Not much margin for error. Oh, and very, very few walks.
When he's laying off pitches off the plate & drawing a few walks, does Bauers remind anyone else of Russell Branyan w/a glove?
My goodness, Contreras. OK, it's an elite closer, coming through there in the 9th isn't easy, but at least have an idea how he's going to work you w/1B open & the winning run on third. Give yourself a chance. Really ugly AB.
