    The only player that deserves to be rostered on a WS team is one we are absolutely certain is healthy enough to pitch and not for sentimental sake.

    I truly doubt that Woodruff has ANY chance of even throwing a 92 mph fastball in a MLB game. Let’s face it any pitcher who hasn’t thrown in a MLB game in 15 weeks should in no way be considered to be rostered on a WS team. Great story, however if Arnold and Murphy decide to add Woodruff to the roster that would be a dereliction of their jobs. Yes they did just sweep the Dodgers, however I DOUBT the Rays or Indians will not give them everything they got in win and with a chance to win their first WS ever I would never give either team any edge at all and sacrifice one rostered player for winning. It’s like tying one hand behind your back. Would you possibly give up that chance to make Woodruff feel better? Let’s face it this is for a WS title and is not a Hollywood movie. Sentimental feeling for a hard luck pitcher has absolutely no place in winning a title after a 44 year wait to get there, no matter who they are.

    They really don’t have a choice. This team is so poorly run. If they don’t clean house and still keep MLF and Gutey around nothing will get better.

    Who’s calling these plays? When you can’t block the pass rush you run draws and screens. They can’t even block on field goal attempts.

    I still have complete faith that Jeferson will be a successful MLB catcher. Even though a torn labrum is a very serious injury, several pitchers have come back and have had success at the MLB level. With Quero playing catcher and the fact that his injury occurred in 2024 there is still time for him to recover to previous success he has seen. In fact the recovery period for successful recovery from this surgery is still in the normal timetable. As far as his hitting is concerned missing a year at his young age is recoverable, we have seen this in other Brewers prospects such as Turang, Ortiz, Vaughn and others. I feel 2027 will be an important year in his development and I believe he will surprise many posters here, particularly author Sam.

    I don’t understand why the Brewers didn’t play either Quero or Dinges at catcher more often rather than DH this past year. Their defensive development should have considered more important than how they handled it in 2026. Quero would have been an excellent backup for Milwaukee in late 2026 and in 2027 with Dinges in AAA. It has been over 2 years since his shoulder surgery and Quero was considered a gold-glove caliber catcher earlier in his career. With a pop time less the 1.8 sec. and above average catching instincts he is at least the equal of Contreras defensively, now. He has also dramatically improved his hitting skills with his plate disciple and power as a hitter. With a year to develop in Nashville in 2027 Dinges would be more than an adequate backup to Quero when Contreras leaves.

    Total yards = 199 penalty yards = 133 3 additional penalties not accepted. At least they had finally outgained their penalty yardage by overtime MLF quote, “We need to clean that up”. LOL
