  1. Most of the “models” also predicted the Cardinals as the division winners and the Pirates to be mired in the basement. I know it is extremely early, and that is the beauty of the MLB, we have over 130 games left of enjoyment to find out.
  2. I think it is hilarious when posters say they are wasting Burnes and Woodruff, when Woody hasn’t pitched in weeks and will not for many more weeks. The Brewers are what most rational people thought they were, actually even better, a 0.500 team with < a 1% chance of winning a World Series. Expectations were/are much too high among most fans. I would suggest that you would enjoy each game individually and lower your expectations accordingly. At least that way you can lower your stress level and enjoy baseball.
  3. I don’t think they will ever be able to hit LHP. It really doesn’t matter wh they can pick up.
  4. Andres Carlson nfl.com bio: Struggled to establish consistency on mid-range kicks Poor from 50 yards and beyond Too many kicks blocked Doesn’t sport a booming leg on kickoffs
  5. I guess Gutey is OK with his current group of safeties.
  6. Time to move on from Gutey 😆
  7. Another trade, with TB drop to 50
  8. If that’s the case, they better pick a highly ranked OT with their 1st round pick. I sure hope there will be someone worthwhile to pick at #22. I don’t think so!!!
  9. Round 1 =13 Round 2 = 42 and 45 Round 3 = 78 Round 4 = 116 Round 5 = 149 Round 6 = 207 Round 7 = 232, 235, 242 and 256 Subject to change on draft nights.
  10. I hope not. Most experts believe there isn’t much difference in players 20-50. With the team as it currently stands (depth) 2 bites of the apple is better than just 1.
  11. I’ll say August 1. Gonna be rough on the starters and the team for the next 3+ months. They might need to trade one of their rookie OFs for a staring pitcher to stay in contention in 2023.
  12. You may still have to wait 1-2 years before they can acclimate to NFL play. Also WR tends to develop more slowly than other positions and it is only a few (Moss, Jefferson, Chase, etc) freaks that can become stars immediately.
  13. Both the Reds and Cubs should be better than last year and I suspect the race for second place will be a dogfight between them and the Brewers with a difference of less than 4 games. The Cards are the favorite and they should be with a much better everyday lineup. For the Brewers to win the division they will need Burnes and Woodruff to have seasons similar or better than 2021 and with their current bullpen that may not be enough. With the change in scheduling the division winner may win only 85-86 games.
  14. The alma mater wins……YES!!! BTW the next games are in Vegas/Paradise NV.
  15. “In no way…” seems like a really definitive statement to me. When you use that strong of a comment, maybe you should skip the IMO it just waters down what you really have to say, IMO of course. Also please try to not be so snarky in your rude attacks on others.
  16. Are you getting this information from an inside NFL source? Or do you have any other credible sources? Or are you just making an assumption and running with it or basing it upon the personal opinion of one talking head?
  17. I really don’t see why posters get so upset that a Rodgers-Jets deal isn’t close to completion now. What’s the hurry? The draft doesn’t occur until the end of April, and the likelihood of a Packer division title in 2023 is low with Love in his first year as a starter. The drop dead date for the deal to get done is opening day in September. With the stronger draft in 2024, it may work out to their advantage to get a pick then (although it may be lower). Who’s to say that Rodgers won’t play poorly again next year and the Jets record won’t improve (after all they still are the Jets). My advice is to sit back and enjoy the ride and entertainment value. The most likely scenario is still the Jets will fold and send their first round pick to us long before then, rather than to give up on the 2023 season.
  18. Amen brother.
  19. I would bet he would have much better success with Sean Payton as his HC and his offensive track record with QBs, than he did with Nathaniel. I’m sure the primary reasons the Broncos hired Hackett was his success with Rodgers.
  20. I believe the only reason they hired Hackett as the OC was to help the Jets acquire Rodgers. Hackett wasn’t a hot commodity after his stint in Denver this past year and I’m sure there weren’t many teams knocking on his door to hire him. He really didn’t have great success previously as an OC with the Bills and Doug Marrone as the HC and EJ Manuel as their QB and Jax with Gus Bradley and Blake Bortels. In fact, both of those teams were much more successful running teams, not really the problem with the Jets offense in 2022. The Packers were really his first successful OC job, where he had an excellent relationship.with Rodgers. I’m sure the the price to acquire Jackson would be much more than 2 first round picks. IMHO, I would bet it would cost them possibly up to 3 first round picks a couple of second rounders along with other young vet(s) for a former MVP in the absolute prime of his career. He is also one of the best rushing QBs in the NFL, one of the prerequisites of a successful 21st century QB. I would put the Jets odds of seriously pursuing Jackson at around 5%. We need to have a little patience as it appears that neither the Jets or Packers are in any hurry to get this trade done before the draft.
  21. Or maybe in early September. Why do anything until then if the Jets drag their heels. We owe absolutely nothing to Rodgers and especially the Jets. It’s the off-season, why would the Packers or any Packer fans care what happens until the day before game 1.
