I've like Bill Hall for a while too, in fact, heading into last year he was my favorite Brewer..then I got reamed out by all of the on-base freaks here and after Billy cooled off last summer, simply mentioning that he might be better than Ginter was a sin. Anyways, I'll admit that I never called him Soriano, like some posters here have.
Just out of curiosity, with Fielder, Overbay and Jenkins on the bench, if you were manager, would you let Magruder hit here?? I'd use Overbay here, there may not be a better time in the game.
...and I've got a friend who loves the Red Sox, but if they can't win he loves the Yankees...well, not really, but it is close to the same thing, if you ask me.
How about first pitch up and in, knock him in his a-ss, then toss a couple in the dirt...if you walk him oh well...don't just grove another freaking fastball down the pipe to the guy.
anyone else worried about this line from Sheets today Sheets (L, 3-7) 9IP, 1H, 2R, 2ER, 9K, 2BB, 99 pitches. And this line from Rusch Rusch (W) 6 IP, 8H, 0R, 0ER, 7k, 2BB, 111 Pitches
They intentionally walk our Lee, and we can't get the hit, we pitch to their Lee and it is 2-0. Now, putting a runner on second w/ 1 out isn't smart...but is it smarter than pitching to Derek Lee?? That's debatable.
Could be in for another long evening with Z-bro on the mound as he as owned us in the past. Stats of the day: Brewers rank 15th in NL in team batting (.252) Brewers rank 15th in NL in team fielding, leading the league in errors, while finishing last in Double plays Brewers rank 2nd in NL in pitching..which really only means we keep losing 3-2 when our pitchers keep giving up 1-2 earned runs a start...
