    Teams have been so awful at choosing nicknames for a while now. The Houston Oilers would be interesting. The Houston Briskets I cant think of anything as original and as applicable as Astros though.

    According to Rotoworld: According to the New York Daily News, Ryan Braun's PED suspension appeal was heard on Thursday. The Daily News' sources say Braun "pleaded his case" in front of a "three-member panel," who will come to a decision on the matter at some point soon. The 2011 National League MVP is strongly denying that he has ever used performance-enhancing drugs, but a test in October came back positive for synthetic testosterone.     because Prince might not even be in MLB for the last 3 years of a 10 year deal. Cecil Feilder's last season was age 34 Mo Vaughn's last season was age 34, and he missed his age 33 season Kent Hrbek was done at age 34 Greg Luzinski age 33 These are guys with Prince's body type that I could think of off the top of my head. And most of those types werent worth a hill of beans in their last season. Guys with Fielder's body type just do not age well, they never have. He could be the exception, but I doubt it. I think he has 3-4 more years of being great, 1-2 of being above average, but then the bottom is gonna fall out fast. Which is why nobody wants to go past 5 years with him.

    Hammer as far as the Black Keys go, if you like commercial/radio type stuff a little more then I would start with the Album "Brothers" and move on to "El Camino" and then on from there. My personal favorites are "Thickfreaknesss" (the album, although the song is awesome too) and "Rubber Factory". In fact if I had to rank their albums it would probably go: Rubber Factory Brothers Thickfreakness The Big Come Up Magic Potion Attack and Release I dont know where I would put El Camino because I havent listened to it enough, but they really are a fantastic band.

    Herpes, Viagra, Graves Disease....why not Fragile X and Down Syndrome while we are at it. A simple google search and I have ruled out Graves disease... Symptoms include - "Anxiety, Breast enlargement in men (possible), Difficulty concentrating, Double vision, Eyeballs that stick out (exophthalmos), Eye irritation and tearing, Fatigue, Frequent bowel movements, Goiter (possible), Heat intolerance, Increased appetite, Increased sweating, Insomnia, Muscle weakness, Nervousness My favorites are double vision and goiter.

    the Black Keys, I have loved them since Thickfreakness came out, but El Camino sort of flew under the radar, I had no idea they released this album until I read this list. That being said, I see it was produced by Danger Mouse, same as "Attack and Release". I thought "Attack and Release" was by far their weakest album, is El Camino anything like Attack and Release? Thanks.

    I think we could save a bunch of money by going with Schafer and Gindl as the 4th and 5th OF while Braun is out, then sending Gindl down when Braun comes back. We then use Taylor Green as the back up corner IF, even using him at 2b in a pinch. That leaves us with a backup SS and some bullpen help.     I know that Invader and Woogie are two of our best and most reputable posters on here, so I do not doubt that they may have heard something that might be "good news" as it relates to a suspension and that it could have come from a good source. However, if it is this herpes thing, you have got to be kidding me. This is a completely baseless made up internet rumor, that even if true, has nothing to do with elevated testosterone levels.

    I think people are really grasping at straws. If the reports are true, he had synthetic testosterone in his system. That is a no-no, the suspension, in my eyes will most likely be upheld.

    I havent weighed in on this yet, but have been following this thread and all the news since it broke on Saturday night. My favorite player on my favorite team in my favorite sport. After seeing all the theories and ideas and questions tossed out, I have finally come to terms with his guilt. As that ESPN investigator said in the link Mass Haas posted, you have to be pretty dumb to let your T/E levels get to where Braun's got. It should also be pretty easy to cheat and keep your levels at or below the 4:1 level that has been mentioned, which is the alarm point. My guess is he has been doing this all along, but just got a dose or two out of whack and it came back to bite him. In the words of Junior Spivey, "I'm devastated."
