  1. Yeah I don't think this Carolina team is going to get a hit off Sykora unless it's a fluky type hit. Just supremely overmatched but hard to blame them because a guy like Sykora would probably be in AA in the Brewers system.
  2. So either Carolina's social media team put out the wrong lineup or Luis Pena was a late scratch.
  3. I looked it up when I saw he was the projected starter. Started the year on the IL, so I think he's probably just stretching out and will be moved to A+ when he's more stretched out.
  4. There's a pretty crazy pitching imbalance in the minor league system right now. Including rehabbing pitchers this is how the pitching staffs look. AAA - 18 pitchers AA - 16 pitchers A+ - 17 pitchers A - 13 pitchers ACL - 14 pitchers Those numbers are really small for Carolina and the ACL especially when you take into consideration that at those levels you aren't going to see a rotation of pitchers stretched out to 90+ pitches.
  5. DeBerry also promoted to A+, (Really hope this isn't a precursor to a Letson IL stint). Also there's surely going to be some pitchers headed to Carolina considering with no DeBerry they are down to just 13 pitchers. https://x.com/TimberRattlers/status/1924888369797996855
  6. Dorchies looks fascinating. Really good spin and his command looked pretty darn good for an 18 year old in the Complex. A lot of pitches right on the edge or just off it.
  7. Willingly taking your best hitter out of the lineup in a tie game in the 7th inning is just so moronic.
  8. It's May 19th and the Brewers are 3 games under .500. It's not time to be just throwing Priester out to just deal with it. Maybe two months from now that will be true, but for now the Brewers need to be trying their best to win games and with the anemic offense that means using openers for starters with huge platoon splits
  9. Yeah he was but approach wise he's in a way worse place right now than he ever was last year. He honestly has one of the worst approaches in MLB
  10. The whole point of the opener is so that he doesn't have to face the top of the order a 3rd time while being able to pitch 5-6 innings. Instead of having to face Holliday and Henderson at the top of the order the 3rd time through they are at the bottom. It's called protecting a bad SP. Same thing we did with Wilson and Rea last year
  11. Priester has gigantic platoon splits and the O's have a bunch of really good LHH at the top of their order.
  12. Have to feel like Edgardo Ordonez will be headed to Carolina so he can actually get playing time. Maybe small chance they send Blayberg back down to Carolina to give Carolina an experienced catcher to share time with Walther and Martinez
  13. I know Burke's overall wRC+ looks good but under the hood I think he looks like a guy who hasn't yet mastered A+. He's rocking a 56% GB-rate this season. I think you want to see him more consistently hitting the ball in the air before you push him to AA.
  14. Oh my that is something haha
  15. If I had the choice it would definitely be Misiorowski. I just think it won't be him. Feel like if he was making his next start in MLB it would already be known.
  16. Yeah only one and I'd bet it will be Rodriguez.
  17. 7 games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh this week. Baltimore has the worst pitching staff in MLB and Pittsburgh has the 2nd worst offense in MLB. Brewers need to show up and go 5-2 this week.
  18. Brody Hopkins buzzed a near 100mph FB past Wilken's face on Friday and I feel like he's looked uncomfortable in the box since then. 0-8 with 2 BB and 6 SO since that happened.
  19. That's actually kind of crazy. They got to 4 games below .500 a few times in 2020 but always won the next game.
  20. Yeah he's making less contact than he did in 2024 in Carolina while hitting for substantially less power. That's not the recipe you want to see.
  21. He's taken quite a tumble in prospect status this year. Looks like a full time 1B and has seriously struggled at the plate this year.
  22. Just feels like we are never going to see a healthy Carolina team. Pena probably has a concussion from that. Payne is dealing with something. Adamczewski is dealing with a back issue. Why can't we just get a healthy stretch from Carolina.
