  1. YOPHERY! Much better AB from him and he lines a single through the IF for an RBI to make the score 2-1.
  2. As we have gotten deeper into this game, I have to say the more frustrated I've gotten with the quality of the Lake County broadcast in comparison to the Wisconsin broadcast which is one of the best in all of the minors. The CF camera angle is really low. The score bug is too big and disrupts the view a bit. The camera quality isn't great. They don't show the at bat count, velo, pitch count, pitcher/hitter names.
  3. Pratt hits a blast to deep center field and the Lake County CF makes a jumping catch at the wall. Wasn't going to be a HR, but that's likely a triple if he doesn't make that grab.
  4. Joseph Zarr questioning the managing of Victor Estevez. Never thought I would see the day.
  5. Cornielle gets a weak chopper hit back to him for an easy out at 1B. 1-1 as we head to the 3rd.
  6. And Cornielle walks the bases loaded. Some extremely bad misses. He's up to 48 pitches still with 1 out to get in the 2nd.
  7. A 2 out single to LF and Vargas with a really poor throw to 3B. Would have been an out with an accurate throw. Runners on the corners with 2 outs.
  8. The Jheremy Vargas experience in LF is not enjoyable. Just took a routine flyout in LF and made it look extremely awkward backpedaling into the catch.
  9. Cornielle gets a lineout to RF to open the 2nd then gives up a line drive single to CF that buzzed right by his head.
  10. I don't think you can just assume someone who has never pitched at the level can come in and throw 4 innings when the most they have thrown since being drafted is 3 innings.
  11. Wilkinson has absolutely mowed down Ramon and Garcia to open the 2nd inning. Made them look like children facing a grown man.
  12. The concern is that if you blow the pen up today and lose then who is available for tomorrow? You need Cornielle to give you a couple more innings.
  13. Cornielle gets out of it but 29 pitches with 2 BB and 1 HBP does not bode well for his outlook on this game.
  14. Cornielle goes from 1-2 to a BB to load the bases. It's scary hours here with Cornielle's pitch count pushing 30.
  15. Cornielle then drills the next hitter square in the back on a 2-2 pitch. Cornielle clearly does not have it here in the 1st. Need to find a way to keep it to 1 run.
  16. Captains hit a ground ball to Pratt who makes the bold decision to throw to 3rd where Adams just barely gets the tag in time. That's a big play. 1-1 with a runner on 1st and 1 out.
  17. He then throws a first pitch meatball to the next hitter who knocks a double to the left center gap. Early signs of trouble for Cornielle.
  18. Cornielle with a 4 pitch walk to open the game. Hopefully this isn't a sign of bad Cornielle showing up today.
  19. Yophery then grounds into a double play. He did not look comfortable in the box against Wilkinson. Hopefully they don't regret not getting that 2nd run in from 3rd.
  20. Here's my Rule 5 draft hot take. Blake Holub has a sneaky chance of being taken. The stuff models absolutely love his splitter, but he has basically never thrown it this season. Maybe because the Brewers as an org just don't like splitters. I could see a team pick snag him and have him way up the splitter usage.
  21. Is it confirmed that Ernesto signed a 1 year deal as an MiLB FA last year? Only asking because they way they have slow played him and not promoted him to AAA feels like it would make him far less likely to return in MiLB FA again this offseason. If he signed a 2 year deal letting him stay in AA all season and then starting in AAA with a big league camp invite for 2025 would make sense.
  22. While we were just talking about the Arizona Fall League, who do we think is getting sent to Australia to play for Brisbane this offseason? Last year I think we only sent 2 or 3. Typically we only send players who have played in A and A+.
  23. Murphy says a lot of stuff in his press conferences that’s utter nonsense so that’s nothing new. Obviously it’s not as taxing as pitching in the game but warming up still requires throwing pitches and Devin has now warmed up 3 separate times in a span of 2 days.
  24. It’s funny because instead of just using him yesterday, he’s now just warmed up on back to back days and not thrown an in game pitch. That’s 5 of 7 days he’s at least warmed and 3 straight days he’s at least warmed. Will he even be available tomorrow?
  25. I'd add Bukauskas, Paredes, and Wilson to others and Devin seems almost like a sure thing to be traded.
