  1. Hoskins, if he left, would be leaving $18M on the table not $14M. 2025 is $18M with a $4M buyout and then there’s another $4M buyout after the 2025 season. So that’s $18M. After the season Hoskins has had it would be pretty shocking for him to get $18M in FA. His underlying numbers are extremely poor and he’s been below replacement level on the year.
  2. I just don’t mind it. Megill has basically even splits. LHH with a .241 wOBA against him and RHH with a .245 wOBA against him this year. Let him start with a clean inning rather than potentially coming in with a runner on base
  3. Bummed that it seems like we won't be seeing him in the MLB this year based on Hogg's article today.
  4. The bullpen went 4 innings against one of the best offenses in the league and only gave up 1 batted ball with xBA over .210...impressive stuff especially considering they were protecting a 1-run lead.
  5. That right there is the recipe for winning in the playoffs for this team. 5 innings from the SP and let the bullpen do what they do. Hopefully the bats break out of this team wide slump before the playoffs so the pitching doesn't need to be this good.
  6. Just a casual 199 wRC+ against LHP this year
  7. I pray Murphy doesn't use this as evidence to give Peralta a longer leash in the playoffs because he was extremely lucky not to get scored on that inning. The DBacks hammered him.
  8. Just bringing him out for the 5th was a mistake
  9. They point to the bullpen to acknowledge the bullpen. Sometimes it's LF and sometimes it's RF.
  10. I mean they don't have any RHH OF to play unless you want them to play Hicklen or Collins
  11. Extremely pathetic baseball from the Brewers tonight. Rodriguez has 7 strikeouts through 3 innings and his season high coming into tonight was 5. Just pathetic.
  12. Misiorowski just missed an immaculate inning against the Redbirds by a single pitch. 10 pitches, 9 strikes.
  13. In the regular season. He lost against them game 2 of the WC round last year
  14. Well @Joseph Zarr definitely jinxed Nate Peterson as he's now given up 2 HR tonight
  15. Here are the Top 3 contenders for Position Player of Year 1. Luke Adams - 418 PA, .227/.443/.397, 154 wRC+, 27 XBH, 56 RBI, 28 SB 2. Ernesto Martinez Jr - 450 PA, .282/.364/.467, 146 wRC+, 45 XBH, 62 RBI, 18 SB 3. Mike Boeve - 342 PA, .338/.415/.471, 161 wRC+, 24 XBH, 36 RBI, 2 SB Here are some honorable mentions Cooper Pratt - 406 PA, .277/.362/.406, 126 wRC+, 26 XBH, 45 RBI, 27 SB Jadher Areinamo - 467 PA, .301/.349/.442, 125 wRC+, 40 XBH, 68 RBI, 32 SB Isaac Collins - 500 PA, .273/.386/.475, 125 wRC+, 49 XBH, 76 RBI, 24 SB Yophery Rodriguez - 484 PA, .250/.343/.383, 117 wRC+, 36 XBH, 60 RBI, 7 SB I didn't include Bitonti because I'm pretty sure that Complex level players get their own awards and Bitonti spent most of his season in the Complex league.
  16. Here are the Top 3 contenders for Pitcher of the Year 1. K.C. Hunt - 102 IP, 2.03 ERA, 2.29 FIP, 2.32 xFIP, 35% K-rate, 6% BB-rate 2. Shane Smith - 90.2 IP, 2.98 ERA, 2.90 FIP, 2.89 xFIP, 30% K-rate, 8% BB-rate 3. Craig Yoho - 55.1 IP, 0.98 ERA, 1.25 FIP, 1.75 xFIP, 44% K-rate, 9% BB-rate Here are some honorable mentions Logan Henderson - 77.1 IP, 3.49 ERA, 3.73 FIP, 3.18 xFIP, 33% K-rate, 5% BB-rate Tate Kuehner - 104.1 IP, 3.19 ERA, 3.82 FIP, 3.84 xFIP, 26% K-rate, 12% BB-rate Brian Fitzpatrick - 70.1 IP, 2.69 ERA, 3.13 FIP, 3.39 xFIP, 26% K-rate, 8% BB-rate Chad Patrick - 125.1 IP, 3.09 ERA, 4.17 FIP, 4.89 xFIP, 25% K-rate, 7% BB-rate Manuel Rodriguez - 94.2 IP, 3.23 ERA, 4.00 FIP, 3.78 xFIP, 21% K-rate, 3% BB-rate Jacob Misiorowski - 94.1 IP, 3.43 ERA, 4.12 FIP, 3.95 xFIP, 30% K-rate, 15% BB-rate Nick Merkel - 77.2 IP, 3.48 ERA, 3.14 FIP, 3.51 xFIP, 26% K-rate, 10% BB-rate
  17. He was not at 92. He touched 92 but his FB averaged 90.2 on the night.
  18. I feel pretty confident the Brewers will trade Devin this offseason especially considering he did have multiple stress fractures in his back that made him miss multiple months this year. He gets injured next year and you can kiss that QO goodbye.
  19. Man that 2021 team was so good. Imagine if that team had Yelich in MVP form or even 2023 form. That year really felt like it could have been the year if Yelich was still in great form. It's nice that Yelich has bounced back, but man him falling off right during the stretch we had amazing and cheap SP was pretty awful.
  20. Yes in the division. They didn't clinch the division until 7 games remaining because they went on a bit of a cold stretch after clinching the playoff spot and the Cardinals were in the midst of that massive win streak, but they had clinched a playoff spot with 16 games left. They were 89-55.
  21. I feel you there although like I said earlier the pitchers Stanley had to work with was unfortunately a shell of what he had to work with all season. So many of the pitchers who carried the work load for the Mudcats this year have either been promoted or were on the IL for whatever reason. Knoth, Galindez, Letson, Woodward on the IL. Rodriguez limited to a small role. Birchard, Durow, Figueroa, Maldonado, Brailin Rodriguez, Root, Dikember Sanchez, Timmerman all at A+
  22. What was yours and the crowd's reaction to that send in the bottom of the 9th to Lara being sent and being out by like 20ft?
  23. Brewers were up 14 games on 9/12 in 2021 and clinched a playoff spot on 9/18 with 16 games to go.
  24. That's honestly pretty shocking that a RHH has never hit a ball into the Cove.
  25. You couldn't remember back to 2 weeks ago when the Brewers took 3 of 4 against the Reds???
