  1. Surprised they had Harrison warm up twice today and not pitch. Looking like he's only going to get one more chance to pitch this season.
  2. Chourio was the key to that Mitchell bunt. If he doesn't get an amazing jump off 2B that's a force out at 3B.
  3. So you don't support Uribe coming in now then?
  4. Just one franchise milestone out of the way on a year where they are going to get the big one out of the way as well
  5. I'm curious where is this coming from that Mark was involved with the Brewers pursuing a SP at the deadline outside of the classic just giving it the okay?
  6. These aren't trying to predict exact outcomes though. The projected records are 50th percentile projections. Not every team is going to have a 50th percentile outcome. It's a range of projections. The guy who runs ZiPS said he considers his model successful when each 10th percentile of success has about 3 teams and that has pretty much happened this year.
  7. Though looking at it more it's probably more to do with him being used more as a multi-inning reliever last year and more as a single inning leverage reliever this year. Last year his 162 G pace was 63 G and 98 IP. This year he's going to end up with 75 G and 87 IP. I wonder what is considered a heavier workload between those two.
  8. Feels hard to believe but Ashby was actually used much more aggressively last year. Last year he pitched his first MLB inning of the season in game 53. He ended up pitching 66.2 innings over the final 110 games of the year which is a 98 inning pace. He probably throws two more innings this year and ends up with 87 innings thrown.
  9. Genuinely asking how would you want them to adjust their models? The Brewers are particularly tough to model because we consistently roster a bunch of players with limited MLB experience and young players without much MLB track record are difficult to model. Outside of Woodruff (who was tough to model himself coming off shoulder surgery and an injury riddled year) our entire rotation and rotation depth was made up of guys with 1 full big league season of experience or less.
  10. Bryse most definitely knows. Lest we forget when he was DFA'd earlier this year and elected FA to re-sign with the Brewers two days later and immediately be back on the MLB roster.
  11. Possibly though I thought it was surprising he was listed as the probable before he was actually on the roster. Typically it's still TBA until the player actually gets added to the active roster.
  12. I was kind of surprised they wouldn't have Drohan as the opener with Phillies lineup but I'd guess they want him to get more adjusted to coming out of the bullpen than making the best effort to win the game using him as an opener.
  13. I'm actually surprised that we had 5 calls that favored us.
  14. Henderson this year has made 1 start on 4 days rest, 9 starts on 5 days rest, and 7 starts on 6+ days rest. Misiorowski this year has made 4 starts on 4 days rest, 16 starts on 5 days rest, and 9 starts on 6+ days rest. So here lies the issue with your plan, 4 days rest is not normal rest for these guys. 5 days rest is normal rest.
  15. Bummed for Biloxi but to have made it as far as they did with a true prospect roster is darn impressive. They didn't have any 28 year olds playing big roles in their season and playoff run
  16. His contract is going to go down as one of the worst in MLB history
  17. Minor league baseball is hilarious. Championship Series and Rocket City's closer coming in for a 5 out save is 4 years older than any pitcher on Biloxi's active roster.
  18. Bauers has become a two true outcome machine in September. He's at like a 27% BB-rate and 33% K-rate.
  19. Chourio's cold stretch up to 4-36 with a 35% K-rate
  20. Chourio now 4 for his last 35. Such a streaky hitter.
  21. Talk about showing up big when your team needs it most. Letson with by far the best start of his pro career in a win or go home championship series game.
  22. You wouldn't be getting Uribe warm to come in for the 9th inning during the middle of the 8th inning.
  23. I agree with this. No idea why Uribe got warm at all. I guess maybe he was going to bring Uribe in if Stott reached but a run didn't score?
  24. How much can you value postseason experience when he's been a below average hitter in the postseason. Not like he has a strong track record of hitting in the postseason and that was before he was looking totally washed like he has this year.
