  1. PCA was going to get to 3B on that one either way but yes in general Mitchell needs to leave that ball for the RF
  2. Counsell used a 1,3,5 system when he was here. 1 for no challenge, 3 for iffy, and 5 for sure thing. Don't know why he challenged a 3 other than desperation
  3. So I had to look it up. Yelich against RHP changeups and splitters this year in the location of his 3-2 hit tonight has had these batted balls (some of these were foul balls) 110 EV, -16 LA 98 EV, -43 LA 94 EV, -10 LA 91 EV, -14 LA 89 EV, -63 LA 88 EV, -32 LA 85 EV , -68 LA 79 EV, -7 LA 79 EV, -24 LA 75 EV, -21 LA 73 EV, -46 LA 69 EV, -51 LA 68 EV, -48 LA 66 EV, -48 LA 63 EV, -41 LA 62 EV, -37 LA His batted ball in that spot tonight? 98 EV, 15 LA I think that proves it was one of his best swings of the season. Feel like we haven’t seen him keep his barrel in the hitting zone that long all year.
  4. Dbacks and Padres still have a series together as well to end the year so that makes it pretty unlikely.
  5. Absolutely. He came in down 3-1 with runners on 2nd and 3rd with the MVP coming to the plate. To get out of that and then throw a scoreless 10th? He's my MVP of the night.
  6. Lara with his most composed swing of the day right after Murphy gives him a talk? Don't think that's a coincidence. Fantastic managing from Murphy and fantastic redemption from Lara to make up for a stinker
  7. Moment is looking a little big for the rookies tonight. Pratt needs to leave that ball for Ortiz.
  8. I have a feeling using Ashby for the 6th time in 8 days is going to backfire
  9. That should get overturned. Looked clearly off the knob of the bat.
  10. Get this out early but not at all a fan of Misiorowski coming back out. He looked clearly gassed last inning.
  11. I'd sit Lara for that. His challenge use is unacceptable
  12. Ashby warming up in the pen is insanity. He's thrown in 5 of the last 7 days.
  13. He still reached for home with his hands though. Not like he slid to tag with his feet.
  14. What on earth is that slide for Chourio??? He's easily safe if he does a normal headfirst slide.
  15. Yeah you're right. I missed the May 5 game streak.
  16. I’m also pretty sure it’s only happened one time so it’s not like they have a bunch of 5 game win streaks. It’s been more methodical where they pretty much just win every series
  17. Turang hitting 2nd against a LHP is a pretty valid critique. He’s slashing .190/.273/.253 against LHP this year and .239/.307/.302 for his career. It’s clear at this point it’s not going to change though so probably not worth complaining about
  18. Yes it’s 6 and 5 but those two teams play each other still so the Brewers will clinch a postseason spot as soon as the magic number gets to 2 for both teams because one of the them is guaranteed to lose two more games.
  19. The magic number for the postseason I believe is down to 4 because the Padres and Dbacks still have to play each other. Also the magic number to eliminate the Cardinals in the NL Central goes to 0 if they lose to the Giants tonight
  20. THOMAS PANNONE PERFECT GAME FOR NASHVILLE!
  21. Rookie moves. Everyone knows that when you turn it off when they are playing bad and they come back to tie it up when you’re not watching that you need to keep the game off the rest of the way
  22. Brewers certainly looked like a team playing its 36th game in 38 days today.
  23. Was nice to see the offense show some fight. We are going to need to see the offense find its groove again because the pitching situation is starting to look a lot more vulnerable than it did a month ago.
  24. If Murphy showed any semblance of consistency then Ortiz would be coming in mid inning as a defensively replacement. Hamilton has cost the Brewers nearly half a dozen runs today
