  1. Well I'm about to head down to Principal Park for game four of the Sky Sox, iCubs series. Yesterday was interesting. The Cubs seem to be in a situation where the depth of talent is so deep in their minor league system that they may be able to trade some younger minor league players for bullpen help later in the year if they're anywhere in the conversation. Now seeing the Sky Sox three times in person, I'm really curious to see how long it'll be until some of our older vets get moved for younger guys. I didn't realize Luis Sardinas was hitting so close to .300 until yesterday. I guess that's a positive. Absolutely no power.
  2. All those texts I got today from Cubs fans when the score was 4-0... If only I had a bunch of cash to text them back.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. I tell you what... despite how crazy and disappointing this season has been, that was one great atmosphere at the ballpark tonight, one of the best of the season. Well, here's to getting one for Benny tomorrow.
  4. Sickening... The scary part is that we don't have the upper hand in a pitching matchup until Thursday... if we struggle this week against the Reds, we're done. Time to get some loose ends on the trading block.
  5. The Milwaukee Brewers: Ruining summers since 1992. well, at least we have four months to save face.
  6. We are good. This team is special. We did everything we could do to lose that game... and when it mattered most, we took it. But still... stick with your damn closer.
  7. stick with your fricken closer Ned... unless you want him to become a headcase. It's HIS game to lose.
  8. wonderful. this is absolutely enraging
  9. I think Bush makes a very good No. 5 starter. With that said... let's get Ben and Tomo back ASAP so Bush can be our No. 5 again.
  10. Happy Mothers Day Willie, we'll see you in October!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif This series took at least a decade off my life but I couldn't be more excited. Bill Hall, WOW!
  11. This has to be one of the more depressing losses I've ever attended... however... I can't help but feel overly optimistic. We may lose tomorrow and drop two games under .500, but I really honestly believe that we're about the 4th or 5th best team in the National League. I was doubtful for awhile, but after Friday and tonight, I'm dead sure about that. We are going to go on a tear and absolutely rip up Philly and Minnesota, after that, let's hope the pitching gets back in order and we learn to win on the road. Milwaukee is a baseball town again... for those who weren't there Friday and tonight, I can only sympathize. This team deserves 40,000 for every single weekend game.
  12. Well, even I have to admire their late-game tenacity... you just wish we didn't have pitchers putting us in so many dang holes this year.
  13. I knew this was coming. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  14. I like our chances with our ace on the hill tomorrow. Let's go 39.
  15. Bush is the sacrificial lamb, he's gotta eat up some innings or the bullpen will be a mess this week. Thank God we have a day off tomorrow. Let's hope this is our low point for the year and Prince and Benny won't miss any time.
  16. Whew... time to hit the reset button.
  17. Brewerjamie, do you wear a Sheets jersey to games?
  18. I'm expecting decent attendance due to the weather today... it's awesome outside. If I were the Brewers, I'd open it up tonight... but then again, I'd almost never close it.
  19. FU FSN... remember what area you are covering. Unbelievable.
  20. (Starting slow clap) Good stuff.
  21. Hand the credit to that Weeks strikeout to Bob Brainerd and the happlessly ignorant FSN North staff. Ridiculous...
  22. I know that this post is in danger of sounding ridiculous during a seven-game losing streak. But after tonight's game I can confidently say that WE are back... Finally some life! Think about it, if Wes Helms doesn't touch the field, that's a win.
  23. People would stop coming to games? Do you honestly think anyone is coming this year? A bad April is death for ticket sales in May and June. I am a diehard, I'm there every day/night that I can be and my friends all told me today that I'm going alone until they start looking like more than a quadruple-A team.
  24. It's ahead of Ueck? Wouldn't TMJ's coverage be ahead?
