  1. Via "LinkedIn": I’m passionate about contributing to professional baseball, aiming for a career as an amateur scout or in baseball operations. My diverse experience blends analytical skills with a deep understanding of the game. As the MLB Scout Liaison for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, I facilitated key communication between scouts and teams, refining my ability to collaborate with scouts and front offices. Serving as an analytics analyst for the Y-D Red Sox, I utilized tools like Trackman, 643, and Synergy to create reports that informed our strategy. My internship with UConn Baseball Operations, focusing on video analysis and tech integration, further solidified my technical skills and understanding of baseball's future. I’m eager to apply my expertise in scouting, analytics, and operations to a professional baseball organization. Congrats, young man!

  4. You served us well, 2024 Minor League Transaction Thread (now locked). We await 2025's moves within this new thread. When possible, we'd prefer this thread be limited on commentary/discussions and remain a repository of the moves themselves, though some posts will inevitably enter that way. Moderators have the ability to split and merge threads as needed to make sense of the flow on the forum.
  5. In order to prevent forum threads from becoming too unwieldy, we will freeze and retire certain theme threads. Should you wish to revisit, the former "Alumni" thread, which was born in August of 2022, it can be found here.
  6. Because you need to ring in the new year with a combined four hours of Brewers prospect talk:
  7. Brewers release recently-turned 23-year-old corner outfielder Eduarqui Fernandez. who spent all of 2024 with the Timber Rattlers. Fernandez was considered the prize of the July 2018 international class, signing for $1.1 million as a 16-year-old. SIDENOTES on the 2018 class via MiLB.com: Who remembers Branlyn Jaraba, who signed for the same amount and peaked in 2022 with 17 games at Carolina? Well, INF/OF Eduardo Garcia is having a strong winter season at least. That signing class did net RH reliever Abner Uribe on the relatively cheap (85,000). Back to Fernandez, debuting in the Dominican Summer League in 2019, he clubbed 11 home runs and nine doubles but fanned at a 32.5% rate. His best campaign was a split 2022 between repeating Maryvale and debuting at Carolina in 2022 (.772 OPS). Fernandez struggled to a .190/.281/.316 line (.597 OPS) in 113 T-Rats games this summer, and it's clear the Brewers were not prepared to jump him to Biloxi for the start of 2025.
  8. I could see 15 position players as viable pre-DH in the National League, but today? This also would really multiply the number of platoons throughout day-to-day lineups, and perhaps it’s the old Rotisserie baseball owner in me, but I likes me players who are in lineups every day. (Well, not because of steroids 160 games, but the 150-game guys.)

  11. Yes, but less than 90 days would need to be injury-related (thus, "active" roster). You still can't option him.
