Sat. 9/13: Enter Pithy Thread Subject Here
Jim Goulart replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
See, the thing is, @Joseph Zarr, that one has to pick spots for the over-the-top thread titles. First, not easy to come up with early in the AM, and one risks straining the relevancy of the day for the sake of a forced poor pun. Will try to factor daily in 2026 (unobtainable goal). -
This thread will be utilized for any minor league news Saturday. Organizational Scoreboard Audio Links MiLB TV (Subscribers)

Image courtesy of BrewerFanatic Transactions: Nashville Sounds activated RHP Carlos Rodriguez (optioned from Milwaukee). Nashville Sounds transferred 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr. to the Development List. RHP Stiven Cruz assigned to Biloxi Shuckers from Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Biloxi Shuckers transferred RHP Bayden Root to the Development List. Final: Nashville 3, Gwinnett (Braves) 0 Box Score and Game Log Via the Sounds, game details, and we encourage readers to review affiliate write-ups as part of their Link Report routine: Davidson Hurls Gem in Sounds Shutout Victory Over Stripers - Cameron's on-base streak extended to 15 games, Childers and Yoho keep Gwinnett scoreless from 'pen Daz Cameron has a .989 OPS in 55 games with Nashville, not a small sample, and it's not as if this is the Pacific Coast League. Thank you, Daz, for entertaining the fine folks in Tennessee along with Link Report readers with your AAA exploits in 2025. Cameron singled, walked and stole two bases in this game. Speaking of impressive OPS figures, Anthony Seigler sits at .888 after 65 games with the Sounds after walking twice here. More impressive work from RH reliever Will Childers, fanning three of the five batters he faced, recording four outs in all (one HBP). Plenty of Craig Yoho text in the linked game summary for you. Not eligible to be recalled to Milwaukee until September 23rd (unless a big-league pitcher injury occurs), one gets the sense Yoho could be a crucial cog in the postseason and should be proving to Pat Murphy in this interim Milwaukee period that he belongs. We get the urge to maintain every morsel of depth possible (hello Joel Payamps and Erick Fedde), but several have questioned Yoho's most recent demotion after just one outing in his latest big-league stint. Count me among them. Bunt base hit in the bottom of the 6th to break up a no-hit bid? In an MLB playoff chase, I get it. Pretty much anytime in the minors? Nah... Old friend OF Carlos D. Rodriguez has remained healthy all season and has held his Atlanta 40-man roster spot but hasn't sniffed the bigs with a .654 OPS and 10 caught stealing's in 29 attempts. Teams were a combined 0-for-10 with RISP (0-for-8 Nashville). Biloxi Pre-Game Media Notes Final: Birmingham (White Sox) 2, Biloxi 1 Box Score and Game Log Catch up with the latest Biloxi pre-game audio interview archives Hunt Stars in Pitchers Duel as Shuckers Fall to Barons - Lara records multi-hit performance in final Friday game of regular season It started out OK: But that was the lone highlight provided, and we know Javik Blake and the Shuckers are not shy about including all possible positive moments. Biloxi 1-for-7 with RISP, not a great night on the farm in that regard, Do the Shuckers have a late-inning bullpen situation on their hands heading into next week's playoff series opener? Plenty of talent there has migrated to AAA in recent weeks. Late-season newcomers Travis MacGregor (takes the "L" on Friday), Austin Roberts and Raul Alcantara have not excelled with their new club. Cooper Pratt (Wednesday HBP) still sidelined and day of rest for wunderkid Jesus Made. Luke Adams also did not start this game, so the potential excitement factor was down overall. RHP Tyson Hardin is on the hill for Biloxi, while Nashville's version of Carlos Rodriguez will be the TBA currently listed on the linked scoreboard below. Enjoy your Saturday!
