  1. Well some of the dust has cleared. Almost a quarter of the season in the books. I will give Durbin the benefit of the doubt and say he and Hamilton are a wash. Mona is a utility guy. Seigler hurt and the draft pick. We have 2 major league pitchers. Way to early yet but I like our return a lot.
  2. I just think the Brewers are reluctant to extend him long term. He looks like an ace but the Brewers haven’t given many pitchers that kind of deal. Draft and develope then trade seems to be the preferred method. Sadly I might add.
  3. Pratt isn't hitting but has a gold glove, Can he be worse than Ortiz?
  4. Doom and gloom person…. its not our year Optomistic person….. its one week and we have injuries Time will tell
  5. Mitchell on pace for somewhere around 230 RBI's
  6. We got Chad Patrick for Abraham Toro Seems like a steal
  7. What would define a pitching explosion? 5 or 6 guys ranked in the top 100? Several pitchers contributing at the major league level. Both? I think it’s possible
  8. I tend to agree with Bash. The Crew still looks like a strong contender for 2026 but look to be optimizing the near future. They know what they have coming in prospects to go along with our present positional group. And now have incredible pitching depth. It appears to be a well thought out plan that should have Brewer fans excited.
  9. No doubt players will get raises. The arb eligible players are also figured in this year. I was just making the point that there will be a sum of money available next year to make some moves. Maybe that is resigning Woodruff after a Cy Young season or giving Made and Fischer extensions.
  10. Looking at the Cot's spreadsheet for the Brewers payroll next year. To me it looks like with expiring contracts, likely trades (Megill, Vaughn and Contreras) and no bonus' to Woodruff and Hoskins, the Brewers payroll would be half of this year's projected payroll of about 125 million. With the young guys coming up and getting playing time this year does that portend some young player extensions or big free agent acquisitions? Or will the young guys fill all the holes we perceive we have at the moment? Where will we spent our money next offseason?
  11. Fischer The man can hit
  12. Andrew Fischer is manning 3B by June 1.
  13. Todd Johnson quote after the draft “many in our draft room thought Fischer was the best college bat in the draft”. I don’t think it’s the bat but his fielding at 3B that is the question. By all accounts that has gone well. I’m hoping that he is at Am Fam Field later this year.
