  1. No thanks. Errors kill teams, period. No matter how great he has been hitting in AAA, he won't make up for errors with his bat as a rookie. At the same time, I hope he can get the E's fixed because he is going to be a great player and would make our infield one of the most talented in baseball.
  2. I don't think Ned should have done it, but does anyone think he should have bunted Hall? Hindsight is 20/20.
  3. I second that. I remember when some thought it was a joke to bring 'Rillo back. It's kind of ironic that one of the main threads on the ML page discusses Yost as a manager and he probably has outmanaged Larussa today.
  4. Yes, iluvlamp I have been reading all of the posts. Usually I just pass on commenting the idiotic comments some posters make. Those of you who think Yost should be fired are nuts. Everyone can second guess a manager that's the beauty of hindsight. Not ONE of you could manage a professional baseball team at any level. Yost put Turnbow in because that was his best option. He plays the cards he is dealt with. If Yost would have brought in Helling, Shouse or anyone else and the team would have lost everyone who is bashing Yost would be the saying the same thing. Great point and so true. Edited to add to Madison's comments.
  5. Seriously...some of you people bash Yost, Turnbow, or whomever upsets you on the spur of the moment. Granted sometimes it may be justified, but sheesh, sometimes some of you embarass me with the teret like comments you make after a loss. Some of you may even be the fans that embarass many of us at games, work, etc. Sorry if I offend anyone...just my thoughts. As a side note, the ump missed the call on Jones. When a player turns around, waits and looks at the ump, he knows it was a strike.
  6. I wish we could swear sometimes on BF.
  7. Had to be a make-up call to call Weeks safe from the garbage call made in the bottom of the 5th. Weeks looked out to me. I can't imagine how an umpire can justify his safe call by doing the jump step forward and then safe. I have umped for 15 years and have never called a guy safe like that.
  8. Glad to see there is some sanity still in some Brewer fans. Sure it would have been nice to win the game and they probably should have. They probably should have lost a game or two this weekend against Cleveland too and everyone, including me, was pumped about the weekend. It amazes me with the roller coaster of emotions some posters have on this site. If they go in the tank and lose eight in a row again, then we all reason to be upset.
  9. talking about the NBA and the Bucks facing Detroit... Bill: "How's Detroit?" Daron: "They've struggled the past few years but are on the rise." Seriously. Are you two idiots?
  10. I can understand the gripe for not playing Hart today, but he is not here so that argument means nothing. Hart being sent down was discussed over and over and then over again. The Brewers reasons are just that. Cirillo kills Pettite so sitting Prince is the way to go. Prince needs a day off, even if he is raking. Plus, I am attending a couple games this weekend and want to see him play. However, I do find it funny how many of you think Ned is any idiot/confused/puzzled for doing it. I am always amused what non-professional athletes/managers, etc. think.
  11. Preston Wilson is having a great series.
  12. Just a prediction...Billy Hall starting 3B for next year with: .290 AVG 20 HR 80 RBI's 25 SB's I think all of us would take that. On a side note, what a great call by the HP umpire on Hall's slide. He was behind the play and still made a great call.
  13. Overbay is starting because he killsReds pitching and he is are starting 1B this year. I know some want to see Prince all the time but that will come next year.
  14. Man are we getting lucky tonight. The Reds miss almost every bad pitch they should crush.
  15. And guess who is in the on deck circle...it better be just in case Moeller gets on so the can SAC bunt.
  16. Anybody watching MLB TV today? Were those pitches strikes to Weeks and Carlos?
  17. I am considering donating part of my salary to send to the Brewers so they will DFA Magruder. He is worthless and I hope tomorrow is his last day as a Brewer when Clark comes back Friday.
  18. Jenks didn't hit that ball hard or anything. Geez.
  19. Well said. Finally a person with some sense.
  20. Anybody watching the game? How could Hall not have scored on a single to center.
  21. that's 2! I think that was T-bow's offspeed fb.
