Very different players. Hader only reeled it in as a reliever and 2017 was a particularly bad year. Overall he had more control even with his early arm slot problems. Misiorowski's delivery is so wild that I doubt he will get that walk rate down until he tunes it down a little bit. And I would like to give Miz at least one more year before we move him to the pen
Ah gotcha. Because of the 15 day option rule none of the guys who were optioned at the end of Spring Training are eligible to come up. Thats why the opening day roster is basically unmovable
After a player is optioned he cannot be recalled for 15 days unless he is replacing a player on the injured/bereavement/paternity lists. Anderson can be optioned at any time, but cannot be recalled
All due respect to Tyler Jay and Connor Thomas as they are serious profesionals who've put in a lot of effort to get to where they are but I cannot understand how either of them got a spot ahead of Smith.Yeah yeah Smith is no established pitcher or top prospect in comparison to what you have in Jay (who was DFA'd in the end!) I really don't get how they didn't protect him.
