  1. Some video on Stallings https://www.mlb.com/es/video/?q=ContentTags+%3D+["playerid-668831"]+Order+by+Timestamp+DESC
  2. Aneuris Rodríguez spent 2 years in the DSL to the tune of a 3.67 ERA and 1.224 WHIP before making his ACl debut this year. In 7 1/3 he had a 3.68 ERA but a 7.36 RA9 with half of the runs he allowed being unearned. 1.500 WHIP. 18.41 K/9 in the ACL thus far
  3. I pirate the games and 90% of the time I can find the Brewers feed. I don't really mind having the other guys most of the time (except for the Cubs).
  4. Anyone with a clue of when Biloxi will fix their centerfield camera?
  5. 2 games this year on Apple. Orioles on Apr 12 and today. Its an MLB thing. Chill dude.
  6. Seems I messed up my rankings and missed it. My computer shut down in the middle of and I forgot to make the changes again. I had Bitonti and O'Rae out and Yoho at 20 and Wichrowski at 9. My bad
  7. In the grand scheme of things, a 1-2 series loss to the Marlins is not the end of the world. I can also see some sense in the lineup decisions by Murphy. First of all, lefties starting so platoon splits play a role like it or not. And you also get to see how the bottom of the bench performs against a team that you can lose to without any major consequences (a series loss to the Cubs has a bigger impact on the season for example). So guys like Monasterio show a decent performance (3-10 1 BB 1 HR 1 SB) and prove they deserve a spot in the bench.
  8. Sanchez! Lets get something brewing now!
  9. Didn't think we would see Freddy for the 7th. Between him and Gasser yesterday the pen got time to recover.
  10. Solid showing by Freddy. After the homer he got things under control. Got dangerous in the 3rd but he locked it down
  11. Yeah the innings and injury history is what I don't love. And would be too expensive but its a fun name to think about. The stuff is nasty
  12. What do we think of Garret Crochet? Really stong numbers and peripherals so far. Has had TJ in the past but could he be worth it? I've slowly come around with the idea of trading Quero. Contreras is the best player on the team and we will control him until 2027. Quero should be up at some point during 2025 and I don't know if having him stuck as a backup guy for 2 1/2+ years is the best way to use him, if he can even return healthy from injury. I don't know my mind is not set on this but a top-100 catcher with a solid hit tool + one or two guys can get us someone good. Thoughts?
  13. Gasser led the International League in strikeouts and was the league's pitcher of the year.
  14. Jeferson Quero I love Quero's hitting and defence. Amazing prospect. I am starting to think though that we might trade him at some point. Contreras will catch with us until at least 2027 or more I think. Having Quero as a backup only would be stupid with his talent. Interesting to see how it developsJacob MisiorowskiTyler Black Struggled in the bigs for his cup of coffee but its a positive because he can now work on what we was attacked on. The question with Black, as usual, is the glove.Brock Wilken Insane bat. Unfortunate injury but he is back on track. Hopefully he sticks at third.Robert Gasser Excelled in the minors, now needs to prove himself in the bigs.Carlos F Rodriguez Slow start but has been great in May. I want to see him continue to trend upwards. September call up maybe?Luis Lara As Ive said elsewhere, I love everything about him but the lack of power concerns me. He will struggle to become a real contributor if he cant get the SLG over 360 consistently. I remain hopeful he will grow into his frame.Cooper Pratt Great tools, could stick at short. Interesting guy that excites me. Needs to develop power.Eric Brown Jr Really unfortunate injury. That is what keeps him down for me. Potential for something great but the injuries have not let him get thereJosh Knoth Has some insane stuff and has been tossing it good in Carolina. Next step is to strech him to a full starter's load.Yophery Rodriguez I am always cautious of ranking guys from the rookie levels (Arizona or DR). I cant bring myself to trust the opinion of 5 guys who have seen him play consistently and hate having little to no film. That said, man the YROD hype is real. Super excited with him.Mike Boeve Hitting breakout. What a kid with great pop. Im really excitedLuke Adams I do not love the early numbers from Wisconsin but too early to tell. I love the sneaky speed and decent powerEric BitontiLogan Henderson Should be back from injury soon. I need to see Henderson compete against better hitters. Feasted on the Carolina league and needs to show it now in Wisconsin. I do love the armJuan Baez Early struggles but the ACL numbers were great last year. Also need to tap into some powerDaniel Guilarte Finally living up to his name and reputation. Had struggled in the past but is really making some noise now. Love it!Bradley Blalock I think he needs to be in Nashville soon. Is mowing down AA hitters and is already on the 40 man. Could be a candidate to fill into the rotation by SeptemberDylan O'RaeWes Clarke Should be in AAA. Gives me El Gary vibes. Big time power, competent backup, can play first. Needs to cutdown the strikeouts. The Quero/Clarke tandem will bring fear to pitchers everywhere. Impossible to rank these guys. The top 12-ish are really solid for me, but after that there are so many guys that could be there. It might be too much of a hassle, but I would love to have a Top 30. Guys that just missed out for me: 21- Yujanyer Herrera- Has looked really good thus far 22- Eric Bitonti- I still think highly of him. Just not sure he is a top 20 guy 23- Patricio Aquino- Rough start to 2024 but I am a fan of his work last year 24- Dylan O'Rae- Ive said elsewhere, I like the hit and speed but the power worries me 25- Shane Smith- Electric guy 26- Tayden Hall- Breakout in Australia and has carried into this year. Lets see how he does 27- Coleman Crow- Cost us Taylor and Houser so this is more of a "well he was expensive so he must be good" 28- Ryan Birchard- The stuff looks really good and has played well in a miniscule sample 29- Bishop Letson- Has also looked great. High walk rates to start the year but we'll see. 30- Tyler Woessner- Is having a solid year but struggles in AAA. I am hopeful he will figure it out 31- Alexander Cornielle- I am loving the bounceback 32-37 Pedro Ibarguen, Demetrio Nadal, Tobias Myers, Evan McKendry, Ernesto Martinez (wild to see him in CF), Filipo di Turi 38- Freddy Zamora- This man puzzles me. Tore up the lower minors and had a solid year in 2023 but is now struggling. He can be a world beater or hit like Winker in the playoffs. And defensively he will make insane plays but mess up the routine ones. Wierd guy. 39-50 Noah Campbell, , TJ Shook, Nate Pearson, Adam Seminaris, Will Childers, Russell Smith, Satchell Norman, Edwin Jimenez, Will Rudy, Mark Manfredi, Enniel Cortez, Edgardo Ordonez 51- 60 Melvin Hernandez, Aaron Rund, , Gregory Barrios, Kay-Lan Nicasia, Blayberg Diaz, Morris Austin, Daniel Corniel, Yorman Galindez, Brayden Root, Justin Yeager Honourable mentions for guys performing well but who I think are no longer prospects- Brewer Hicklen, Isaac Collins, Enoli Paredes, Darrell Thompson, Sam Gardner
  15. Im guessing its gonna be Myers for Ross and someone else for White because that DFA is almost a guarrantee. I liked the White signing because of what the Brewers can do with pitchers. Sometimes you get a Koenig or Payamps, sometimes you don't.
  16. He is not working on new pitches? He still throws the fastball, slider, curve, change mix he had last year. I've seen him pitch. What I see is really big uncontrolled mechanics that lead to his walk issues. The key for him will be to find a way to make his mechanics more repeatable so that he can find the control he needs. He just doesn't throw enough strikes. Otherwise, he will continue to walk at least 3 guys per start. And, unfortunately, the numbers do not lie. He has carried a BB% over 10% since he was in JUCO at Crowder. 19% this year. Those are numbers in the minors! Big league hitters with good eyes will just lay off his stuff and let Misio walk them. There is no doubt the floor is an electric reliever, but he still needs to find his control in order to achieve it. And there is absolutely no need to rush. He is only 22 and will not be Rule 5 eligible until the end of the 2025 season His velo has been somewhat down this year to begin with. And velo is not the only thing that matters. Thyago Vieira averages 98mph on his fastball and you can see how that has gone. Uribe averages 99 but his lack of control makes him unsuitable for a closer role for now. Fear is not keeping him down. Its logic. Everyone in the farm system knows he will not do well. Why destroy the kids confidence like that? And it is also a decision of roster construction and money. You put Misio on the 40-man and he performs badly so you have to option him. Now your 40-man is effectively a 39-man. You also waste an option year, and those are key with pitchers as they adapt to the bigs and bullpen flexibility is needed. And you start the service time clock early, which means you end up losing control over Misiorowski's best years. "He has more now than 80% of all MLB pitching. " What do you mean by this?
  17. Koenig has been a godsend. I've said it before and I'll way it again. Can throw 2-3, mop up, mid-leverage. The guy has been a versatile tool and has been good over 20 innings so far. Has had to deal with being optioned multiple times because fresh arms are needed. Unsung hero thus far.
  18. Would have prefered White but Vieira makes sense. Interesting to bring Blalock up. Has been lights out but I don't know if skipping AAA is the best idea. I guess we shall see. I would prefer Wiemer gets consistent AB's in Nashville but maybe he will shut us all up and tear it up.
  19. Baltimore recently DFA'd Mike Baumann. Good slider decent changeup. 3.69 ERA over 2023-24. Worth a claim? Can't be worse than White
  20. Vieira is fine in a mop up role. White has no place here
  21. 2-run game bottom of the 7th after a 3-run rally. Sure Murphy throw White in there why not.
