    The mudcats elimination number for Down East is technically 2 because they own the season series 5-1. The muddies have not played Lynchburg so that is why it is 3

    The errors would have never resulted in outs they just let runners advance so if the errors wouldnt have happened the HR still would have brought all the runs in. They just scored sooner then they should have.

    how did you calculate FIP, its not a stat you can find and what did you use as your FIP constant?

    It is called Induced Vertical Break (IVB) that trackman measures. Its a measure of deviation from the expected trajectory of the pitch caused by the spin Sinker ballers want small drop where high speed pitchers want to appear as rise. I think 18" is a lot at the MLB level so 21 is crazy good.

    Not necessarily. Jucos have no contact rules where as D1s have very strict contact rules and work outs. Thats why most kids go to juco to get the work in, grow and develop and then transfer. It all comes down to the system and player. Did they play summer ball, do they throw a lot in the fall. Jucos play lots of games in the fall whereas D1s really dont but intersquad.

    3 pitch mix. 4 seam with high spin and crazy IVB numbers. Change is solid and slider needs more horizontal break. Post Tommy John has become a real strike thrower vs pre TJ. Went to college as catcher and only pitching 3 ish years. Have video if you want

    Just getting guys to the big leagues isnt the greatest metric. The pirates as stated above do a great job but all their stars leave so they have to pull guys up. Therefore just placing in the majors from draft doesnt mean that much.

    Austin averaged 95 mph this summer and topped 98. recovering from TJ in April 2022 so he is only 14 months from surgery. Had 20ks against 2 walks in 10 innings and 5 of 6 save opportunities this summer
