    Even though Uribe is a sinker slider guy, I do like how he occasionally tries to locate an ever harder 4 seamer up in the zone with 2 strikes.

    Well, normally I would agree for sure, but when it gets to a point of an automatic strike out almost every time, it just might need to happen occasionally.

    I agree but I have to think, as bad as he’s been, if they put Brian Anderson at right and Frelick at center, at least there’s a possibility of a walk or contact or some kind of major league at bat.

    Ahhhh yes that’s one of the memories. And also I just remember reading that almost every team he’s been on (which is a lot for his talent) is happy to see him gone.

    I can’t stand how often he groves a pitch over the plate on a 0-2 or 1-2 pitch.

    I don’t really like Donaldson as a person, but he’s draw a fair bit of walks, hit a home run and a double in a short period of time.

    Well done Rowdy. And they’re jacking up Perez’s pitch count, which I think they mentioned he was on a pitch count today. It’d be nice to get into that bullpen sooner in the game.

    I understand giving Santana a day off as he’s cooled since he hurt his ankle a little while ago, but I cringe when I see Rowdy at first defensively.

    Yeah Bryse is such a fantastic example of the Stearns/Arnold administrations being able to just find a guy. And make him a good pitcher

    But you’d think with the kind of player Counsell was, he’d really stress that kind of situational hitting….but his offenses never seem to understand that….really for years now…..with several different hitting coaches….

    Both Willy and Donaldson decided before batting they were only gonna try for a home run no matter what the atbat dictates.
