  1. Double play! That's one way to get your first two men out!
  2. Oh, my, the dreaded FIDP. Got a run at least, but come on.
  3. Cappy = Houdini? Edit: Cappy = Houdini! http://members.aon.at/graphic-design.kvech/Cappy_gross.gif
  4. Who was saying this game was over back in the top of the 1st again? Anyway, I hate to repeat a cliché but "it's a dry heat." 91º in MKE when it's this dry is probably not bad at all compared to a typical 91º day in Texas, Louisiana, or wherever. As long as they guys stay hydrated they'll be fine. My 2¢ on the "let's walk D. Lee every AB" discussion - didn't someone run a simulation a year or two ago showing Bonds in one of his monster seasons vs. if he'd been walked intentionally every time? The season with Bonds being walked every time saw MANY more runs created. Think about it this way - no matter how hot he's hitting, he won't do better than the 1.000 OBP you're giving him by walking him every time.
  5. No 'bow tonight because it wasn't a save situation, I guess. Nice game tonight! That snowman in the 2nd was the best thing my radio has told me about in a long, long time.
  6. Good Lord. Phelps gets his first save, and for once doesn't protect his own ERA with a horde of inherited runners coming in. I'll be needing to drink this one away.
  7. AGH. Phelps? Why do I get the feeling this is like trying to put a fire out with gasoline?
  8. Offense not looking bad at all, especially considering Chacin throws with the left hand... Anyway, keep chipping away at it boys. Battle!
  9. Now it is. Prince's 2 doubles were exciting, at least. Certainly don't feel as bad about the nights the Brewers pull in 13k at the keg, either... Nomo does owe everything he has to this team, doesn't he? At least the last half or more of his career.
  10. Ugh, once again losing to the double-As. Come on guys, you are better than this... right?
  11. There seems to be one very vocal Crew fan in attendance, and his yells are echoing like they're in an empty cathedral. Pretty funny stuff.
  12. OOOOOO my, it's a tie game! Atta boy Lyle!
  13. We've moved on to the "ultimate chopper" now. Here's a glimpse of our (mlb.tv users') nightmare. Missed the Prince AB, too. http://img47.echo.cx/img47/9381/picture28ec.png
  14. I called mlb.tv customer support, they're "aware of it" and it will be fixed in "about 10 minutes" which puts it around 6:40 central. Sigh. If I miss Prince's first AB I will be, as they say, displeased.
  15. Have those of us with the Hair Club infomercial missed anything yet? Come on COME ON!
  16. "Wow, this is exciting." Lasorda = priceless. At this point, he's the only thing to listen for besides the Crew's picks...
  17. Hey, who invited scoop to this party? I keed, I keed. After all, your sarcasm is really well-founded, I mean, these 3rd & 4th rounds have been packed with future All-Stars.
  18. I heard that too... "I think I'm on the wrong conference call." Lasorda: "...from Cal State Fullerton - that's where I live." This is a kick, my first "live" draft.
  19. Ajay, mlb.tv is working great for me tonight. Two nights of Vin Scully in a row is an absolute treat. Interesting how he works without an analyst. He knows more about the Brewers than Schroeder does, I'm pretty sure. He also seems to be as far from a homer as an announcer can get - credit and blame where it is due, period.. Definitely worth staying up late (hey, I have a 1-year-old myself, so this is late even for a Friday). Cappy's been running too many guys full, but he seemed to get into more of a groove for the 3rd. Keep it up, the Crew needs this one. Pads up on the Scrubs now..
  20. Nice inning for Wes there... anyone else notice the ad board behind the batter changing just as he's about to release his 2-2 pitch? Looks suspicious to me... then again, maybe it happens all the time and I've just never noticed? Now, let's start sitting on that two-strikes changeup, at least tie this thing up.
  21. Cue someone posting "game over" in 3, 2, 1... Does anyone else think Carlos could have hustled a little more on that play?
  22. Jeebus, show us up a little more there, Bradley. Nice. Also, the Dodger fans coming out of the woodwork at Miller.
