  1. Interesting. I'd prefer to keep Vargas. You can never have too much pitching especially with Sheets only under contract through '08 . What would we get for Vargas that would be better than having 7 or 8 legit starters? edited for punctuation
  2. Just a guess, but unless one of our starters gets injured or falters, I think he'll be in AAA all year but could come up to be in the bullpen if there is a playoff run
  3. +1. I can deal with the throwing errors. I just wanna see that kid hit. At the very least we should see Braun playing DH in a Brewers uniform in June during the 9 game AL road trip
  4. Imagine that So... what is Braun's deal? Weak arm? Throwing mechanics? Mental block? I keep thinking that the kid has "leftfielder" in his future. great to see (well, hear) Suppan dealing
  5. Even though that was an out, Prince is just raking. It is great to see him hitting so well early in the season
  6. +1. For instance, how many of the players are wearing ear muffs or winter type hats?
  7. I like the way Gabe Gross plays alot (at least against righthanders) so I'm not complaining.
  8. I'm a bit surprised that Counsell isn't playing vs the right-handed pitcher. I am betting that maybe Hall has a minor injury that they are healing up. Of course, since he's Bill Hall, Superman, he can probably hit HR's from the bench
  9. I keep checking in hoping to see a lineup. I am very much fascinated to see if Gabe Gross will be starting in place of Bill Hall tonight.
  10. It was scheduled to be on TV, but when the starting time got moved from 1pm to 6pm, the Bucks game preempted it. I'll be interested to see if Gross is scheduled to start in CF again
  11. Dontrelle Willis was looking very sharp tonight, dealing vs the Braves
  12. The 26-52 (!) Milwaukee Bucks only have 4 more games left in their season. Thank God
  13. As DHonks said, it's a 6:05 start tommorow, and FSN just said that tommorow's game will not be Televised
  14. I've had it with Rainy weather, and I'm gonna blame Bud Selig. We need a commisioner that will force every stadium to have a retractable roof.
  15. Yost made it clear that the concern was over Hall's glove, not his bat
  16. Bill Schroeder said that Sheets was about half-way through his warmup pitches when the rain delay hit
  17. Brian Anderson said that the Cardinals are going to try to get this game in tonight, as the weather looks even worse for tommorow Yost, in the pre-game, said he's giving Hall the night off because Hall is still learning the position and Gross is swinging a hot bat, and that Hall will be back in Centerfield tommorow (well, Sunday, if you believe the weather reports)
  18. Sheets-Cappy-Suppan will be nice for the St Louis series. Gotta think that Suppan will be psyched up for his first game vs the Cardinals
  19. Rickie Weeks: has the sleeping monster woken up?!
  20. The Braun tracker is awesome, thank you for that....
