  1. Woogie, you rock! Bigtime. I greatly appreciate the addition of the last 5 starts
  2. Feels good to be back to 10 games over .500
  3. Well that was one of the more satisfying wins I've seen in awhile. Jenkins really stepped up as a veteran leader today.
  4. I was thinking that maybe there is some sort of mental thing going on with Hall hitting 4th, thinking that he needs to try to hit HR's or something, but then didn't Hall hit 4th last year after Lee got traded?
  5. Only if Gallardo was pitching. Otherwise, we'd blow 'em out
  6. It might have. The stands stopped it. Please tell me we're not going to get swept by Boof Bonser, a AAA pitcher and Ramon Ortiz!
  7. Evidently, hell freezes over twice in every ten at bats
  8. Miller Graffanino Counsell Vargas wow, Yost is a riverboat gambler on a 3 day binge.
  9. Yes indeed it is reminding way too many of us of the 2nd half of '06. Scary. The rest of the team needs to step up and make a difference between now and the time when Weeks and/or Braun are available and 100%. And if Braun and Weeks aren't able to get healthy quickly, Bill Hall needs to get moved to the Infield. Corey Hart or Gabe Gross or Tony Gwynn are all better options in the lineup than Counsell and Graffanino. It will be infuriating if the Brewers just stubbornly keep Bill Hall in Center and trot out Graffy and Counsell every night. Either that or Melvin needs to make a move and bring in somebody
  10. Dear Brent Brewer please keep improving at the fast pace you have been in Single A ball. I know you are only 19 years old, but we may need you sooner than we originally thought. Kind Regards, A.J.
  11. Exactly, a true ace will bunt their way on, steal 2nd, steal 3rd, and get sacrificed in when their team isn't hitting... ot he'll just hit a HR themself. Now that's a real ace!
  12. So...do you think Yost will start Gross again or will he sit him down after a 2 HR game?
  13. Pinch hitting for Gross after Gross hit 2 HR's in the game? Wow!
  14. I strongly agree. I'm all for Gwynn leading off, but let Rickie play and bat him 6th or 7th.
  15. Here is one thought as to putting OBP into perspective (i.e. it's an important stat but not an all-important stat): Craig Counsell has a better career OBP than Robin Yount
  16. With a right-hander on the mound and Weeks struggling, I gotta believe that Tony Gwynn will be leading off. I just hope that Weeks is still in the lineup, batting 7th or something. Even with his struggles, he's still hitting better than Graffy
  17. I suppose, for a Tigers fan at least. (Just kidding). Welcome to Brewerfan.net!!!
  18. OBP is why I think Counsell is under-rated by many here. Granted he doesn't have much of a BA or SLG % but the guy gets on base (.345 lifetime OBP)
  19. Weather.com says a 70-80% chance of rain until 10pm EST, then a 30% chance of rain from 10pm to 1am. Doesn't sound promising: www.weather.com/outlook/events/sports/hourbyhour/USPA1276?from=36hr_topnav_sports
  20. He's only had 16 at bats in his MLB career vs lefties (and is hitting .250 vs lefties)
  21. Thanks for the update Mass Haas... The Brewers need Braun soon, but I would imagine this set-back delays his call-up. He'll need time to again make sure everything is together with his defense
  22. That slow, averaged arm, non-walk taking Catcher can swing a clutch bat!
