    It's not unusual that bench situations don't resolve themselves until later in the offseason. Many free agents hold out hope that they'll land a starting gig somewhere, and then resign themselves to take a contract where there's a good chance they'll be a reserve when they have to. I don't think the club's bench will stay as it is now.

    I gotta say. Huntsville & Nashville are two of my favorite vacation destinations... I'd really miss not going to a city in the South to see AA and AAA baseball.

    From MLB.com: A source told MLB.com that the Brewers placed a call with the A's to check into Huston Street's availability. Would be nice to have him in the pen, but it wouldn't come cheap.

    Sounds like this is pretty close to being complete... I have no idea why people keep taking chances on Denny Bautista. His lowest ERA for any given season was 5.80. At least Capellan can eat up some innings at a replacement level.

    I'd just rent Bioshock... I bought it, but beat it in a couple of days. With Blockbuster's liberal return policy, you can play the hell out of it and get your money's worth.

    Construction on Tropicana Field started in 1986. It was finished in 1990, but had no occupant until the Rays got their franchise in 1993 when the Lightning started using it. The Devil Rays came along in '96, finally. I really like the look of the new stadium, from what I can tell from the photo. It just seems to me like Florida teams will always be destined to have low attendance, no matter what the ballpark

    What bugs me is when people use the term "unaccpetable", when there are no consequences applied. So really, it is "acceptable", but you're just making sure people know you don't like the situation.

    Seems like the kind of show that would get old pretty quick. He's funny as heck, but it just doesn't seem sustainable to me.

    I don't think it's misleading, but like most statistics, I wouldn't want to rely on it completely. To me, WHIP, ERA, and K:BB are a pretty good trinity of stats... IP is also very important to me for starters, and W-L to a much lesser extent. It can be misleading if you have a porous defense, I guess, or if a lot of the hits that are falling in are fluky... but the walks are inexcusable.
