    Clark wasn't exactly tearing it up at Huntsville, and he is likely being demoted for the remainder of the year to help out High Desert since Belcher went down with his injury and Nelson promoted to Huntsville. They probably didn't promote Prince and Gwynn and Parra to HD because Beloit can and should win the second half and go to the playoffs.

    Another successful indy league pickup was Rickey Henderson, he had another good game today, and I bet a lot of teams are wishing they would have given him a shot.

    It seems like the Brewers are always short of cash, but then they go out and stupidly spend the cash they do have. Why not give Cruz more starts at SS to save some? Add the extra 40,000 they would save on that to Weeks' signing bonus, and we might be closer to a deal. And you can bet they will pick up Clayton's option next year even though we have Bill Hall and Keith Ginter that could play SS next year. Oh, the insanity....

    Here's to BIlly Hall playing well of late. It would be great if he turned into a serviceable major league infielder, since most of us had written him off. Hes certainly done nothing lately to hurt his spot on the Power 50. Hopefully he's in for a strong second half.

    Elbow strains are never good news...Uh oh. Hopefully this is just a minor injury, and Tom isn't buds with JM.

    The rumored $6 million was just a bargaining chip, if he wants $4 million he wouldn't have said that. I bet he will get upwards of $4 million, and I also bet that the Crew will select him at #2.

    countdown.... 6 hours 20 minutes if the deadline is eastern time 5 hours 20 minutes if it in central time If for some reason the deadline was in Honolulu Standard Time, there would be 11 hours 20 minutes to go.

    So did Jamey Wright, J.M. Gold, Nick Neugebauer, Cal Eldred, Jeff D'amico, etc.....I'm not saying we shouldn't draft Loewen, but I would rather see us drafting a positional prospect with the #1 pick.

    Man, I think it would be great if Tampa drafted Young. Personally, I think the Brewers should get Rickie Weeks, he is a more developed player who plays infield and hits for power....sounds like what the Brewers need. But If Loewen doesn't get signed, there's a good chance we will get him, I don't know if Tampa would draft him.
