  1. They said Counsell was going to have him go 80-90 pitches. Barring some miracle output from the offense that makes the game competitive, might as well just let that happen. Thanks. So looks like... 3 innings if he's lucky
  2. Gee, I wonder why the draft TV ratings were so high this year https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/30/first-round-of-the-2021-nfl-draft-attracted-12point6-million-viewers.html
  3. I watched the 11th again this morning. What struck me was the sequence of Avi's AB where he was down 0-2 with 2 outs and we're still down a run. THEN Maile nearly gets picked off at third. I forgot just how tenuous it was at that moment. Insane. And I still got goosebumps for Avi's and Travis's hits. Ha. I'm pathetic, I know.
  4. Smith's 3B put the WE down to 5% Mario's walk got us back to 50% Keston's K put it back down to 20% Avi's 1B put it at 60% and you know the rest Crazy https://www.fangraphs.com/liveplays.aspx?date=2021-05-01&team=Brewers&dh=0&season=2021
  5. We got JBJ for his glove, not his bat Then we got screwed. Yeah, it seems like we over paid
  6. I like A & E. Any ideas on how to go about making it easier to steal bases?
  7. Comparing these two teams one month in, they are very close with pitching (LAD #5 vs MIL #6 for ERA-) and we've had two low scoring games. I think the Crew's #1 DEF has been the difference against LAD's #5 wRC+ offense. There have been some great plays with the glove to make up for our meager run scoring. LAD is #27 with a -5.6 DEF vs our #1 10.2 DEF. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=fld&lg=all&qual=0&type=1&season=2021&month=0&season1=2021&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=&enddate= Still, I'd like to see us score some more runs and get some life in those bats.
  8. Happy May Day. The first month is in the books and the AP just published an interesting article on the down offensive numbers https://apnews.com/article/chicago-white-sox-miami-marlins-mlb-baseball-sports-1e829d6c668130bfda88b99ade914d4e Batters are hitting just .232 which is under the low of .237 of infamous '68. Detroit finished April at .199. There were 9.06 Ks per team per game which is nearly double the 4.77 in '79. And HRs are 1.14/game/team, the lowest since 2015. Is it the new baseball, the weather, the batters' approach...? Probably too early tell, but definitely worth watching as we good forward
  9. That is so spot on. I'm just wondering how I did not notice that now that you pointed it out especially with those two pics side-by-side
  10. We'll never know who Schlereth's source was, or how he got it so wrong, I'd assume. He freely admitted he's more concerned about sharting himself, so he's got that going for himself
  11. Anything to this Schlereth story that #12 is going to Denver? https://www.awesemo.com/sideaction/mark-schlereth-got-a-text-from-aaron-rodgers-after-he-reported-that-the-packers-qb-was-close-to-being-traded-to-the-broncos-bjs
