  1. From the number of reads with no replies, I'd guess that this isn't getting many views. I hope that they don't drop it. They do a good job hopping around the live games. The only drawback is that it's only weekdays and it starts at 8:30. Odd time IMO I agree, the commentary is low. The NFL Red Zone actually shows the guy in the studio quite a bit. Probably too much. MLB never shows this person (that I've seen), so, yeah, the action is the focus.
  2. It's only "live", right? No DVR or delayed playback? I'd miss that part of the MLB app.
  3. Is anyone else getting into the MLB's version of the Red Zone, the Big Inning on MLB.TV? https://www.mlb.com/tv/shows/mlbtv-featured-svod/9-30pm-et-today-mlb-big-inning-2827 On Crew off nights its kinda entertaining. The host isn't as good as the Red Zone's, but maybe that's just me. She's really laid back and doesn't generate much excitement. I guess the action speaks for itself and maybe that's the vibe the MLB is looking for.
  4. 30% strikeout rate, .280ish OBP and he's not hitting the ball hard. It was worth a shot because our other options were so bad but it was always the most likely scenario that he wouldn't be good. He's been a streaky hitter since forever. Nothing about what he's doing now is surprising. The key is how long it's going to take for him to get hot again. Shaw's wRC+ is 92. But last 14 and last 7 days it's 73 and -3... that's getting mighty cold.
  5. Yeah, he's come down to earth and it's the pitching that has put us #1 with him hitting in the 4 spot. His D continues to be outperform
  6. Yeah, I see Shaws Clutch #s are still the highest on the team, too. Even in the last 14 days when it has dropped off some. Narvaez's actually aren't as good as I expected.
  7. Feels like Narvaez has to get moved up in the lineup. Shaw did well @4 for a while with RBIs, but his LOB has been going up. Luckily the pitching has been so good that it hasn't hurt us.
  8. With Burnes or Woodruff it doesn't. But Houser? Yep. We need a DP ASAP
  9. Starting with men on second two innings in a row is making me nervous
  10. There's the Wrigley over reaction again on a routine fly out
  11. I think the Blackhawks are done. They had a chance to catch the Preds, but they blew it last night. Sure, there are two more games against the Nashville, but now Chicago has fallen behind Dallas, too. And the remaining schedule is not easy with CAR, TBL, FL & DAL. Nothing easy left on the schedule. And will #19 ever return? Im beginning to wonder
  12. Nice one, Jackie
