  1. I barely post here anymore, but am still regularly collecting. I'm in search of the following. Please message me if you have any of the following: 2018 George Webb Burger Voucher Game Used Derrick Turnbow jersey Brewers (or Packers) ticket stubs Thanks! - Corey
  2. There was a sports radio producer that worked for the Brewers. He said that the Brewers lose too much money on it all after renting the building, paying for all the plane tickets, paying for employees, comping meals for players, etc, etc. I want to say last year they had a very small event at Miller High Life Theater downtown. There was a Q&A, they did some games, and then you could get one autograph after. Didn't really seem like anything worthwhile. I went every year even as far back as Brookfield Square days. I loved going for the rummage sale and getting game used jerseys and bats for what was rummage sale prices. One year it flipped and you'd be hard pressed to get a relief pitcher that got DFA'd for under 250. It was a great event in it's heyday, but I won't miss it.
  3. If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize and it can be moved to Off Topic. Do the Brewers still allow early entrance for season ticket holders to the clubhouse sale? Did anyone go last night? How were prices? Was there anything out of the ordinary that was exciting? Havent gone in a few years so debating going after work today just to check it out. I really don't need anything, but it's still nice to go to Miller Park in the offseason. And ya never know what you might find.
  4. I miss the trading post forum. Anybody know who's signature this could be? My friend received it as a gift, and the person who gave it to him had no idea who signed it. Thanks in advance.
  5. Baseball Doesn't Exist. It's probably my favorite channel right now. 20-ish minute recaps about what's ridiculous things are happening throughout the season. He also has done a lot of covering certain players (The Yasiel Puig episode is fascinating and very well done). I also believe he is from western Wisconsin area.
  6. Probably the best place to find a t206 Wagner, too.
  7. Does anybody happen to have this card? They gave it out when Henry Winkler threw out the first pitch to coincide the statue of the Bronze Fonz. They also made a poster, as shown below. Thanks!
  8. Thanks! I find it surprising that they chose Gorman but didn't include Molitor. Even Gantner to a lesser extent.
  9. I guess Facebook groups ran it out of town which is understandable. I know I didn't keep up on that bobblehead checklist/price guide regularly the last three or four seasons, but it was still a good resource to check on dates/variants/etc. Kinda wish I was notified before it was taken down.
  10. I don't post here much anymore, but it appears the Trading Post forum is gone. That's a shame as it was a great resoruce for some of us. Anyway, is there anyone here that is familiar with the 1992 Lead-Off Magazine cards? Until today I thought there was only a Robin Yount card. This morning I learned there is at least a Rollie Fingers and a Gorman Thomas card. I've been searching online to see what this checklist looks like, but can't find anything about it. It's a small set that I think I'd like to build. Any help is appreciated. Hopefully some of the other regular collectors see this before it gets buried.
  11. Sam the Cooking Guy - He does more bar fare food than anything, but I've learned some pretty good recipes from him that we use regularly. But he definitely goes into kicks (Nashville chicken, smahsed burgers, etc) Soft White Underbelly - Came across this in a rabbit hole. Mark Laita interviews people from all walks of life, but a lot of them are based on those that are down and out. Many are addicts. But there are others where he sits down with con artists, mafia members, and crooked cops. It's all really well done as these people tell their stories, but you definitely need to brace yourself for some of them. Baseball Card Collector Investor Dealer - Chris Sewall is favorite guy to watch in the hobby. He has many tales of his collection purchases, and each week does a High Rollers (expensive sales) and Regular Rollers (submissions from viewers of their purchases). He extremely knowledgeable but also doesn't try to pump any card or player as other channels do. Chasing Cardboard - Similar to above to Chris Sewall, Ty documents large card collection purchases he makes but it's produced as a television show.

    Pizza

Very good, decent amount of spice. I'd do it again for certain! I liked it as well. Took the olives off and it was tight up my alley. Agreed. I hate olives so much though. It was hard to get em all off though because they are buried in cheese. But overall I enjoyed it. Red Baron's taco pizza is my absolute favorite of the taco/mexican variety. I don't know know if they only make it available at certain times of the year or what, but I can't seem to find it as regularly as I used to. Cranky Al's in the Valley is excellent. Balestreiri's on 68th and Wells might be my favorite. When the extended family would come to town my grandpa would always get pizzas there on the night my relatives all came into town (around Thanksgiving or Christmas). I go to Green Bay enough, and even went to school there for a few semesters and still have never been to Jake's. All my friends that grew up in Green Bay swear by it. For cheap and fast pizza, we go to Mod more than any other place. Probably once a month. I'm a still a sucker for Pizza Shuttle at times and Jet's I get a craving for too. It's so terribly unhealthy though. I never order more than two slices. For frozen pizza I'm totally a Jack's guy but it's hard to be picky if someone makes frozen pizzas at their house while watching a ball game. Sometimes I'll splurge and get a Geno's East frozen pizza, but now that Pick N Save went to Kroger's I'm not sure they still carry it. Haven't seen it in awhile.
  13. Barry is great! Season two is just as good, if not better than the first. Based on the past two seasons I'd assume that season three will be coming out in March. Also saw that in January there will be a new Curb Your Enthusiasm. I for one am extremely excited about that. Larry David is a genius.
  14. We just finished watching The Righteous Gemstones, and we loved it. My wife and I just started watching Succession, its got two seasons. We weren't sure about it after the first episode, but the second episode the characters started coming through a bit more. I need to finish up on The Deuce, also. Granted these are all HBO shows. Wu Tang: An American Saga is pretty great. I think they only planned it as a 10 part mini series, but they really could do a second or even third season. There's 10 guys in that group, so there could be a lot of backstory to get into. We've also been watching Mind Hunters, and Castle Rock, but we only do an episode of each, then we have to watch an episode of Goldbergs or something to lighten things up. The newest episode of Castle Rock was pretty intense.
  15. Even bands that I loved (and still love) 10-15 years ago I don't go out of my way to buy their albums. I'll stream it online, but rarely buy anything. If you're into hip hop at all, there's a Milwaukee label called Dope Folks that puts out unreleased or very rare 90's hip hop on vinyl. They put out a new album like every few months. Pusha T's "Daytona" was the most recent hip hop album I bought, and that came out two summers ago. I tend to look into finding old bands that I mighta missed out on now more than ever. I've been a long time fan of early power pop and am always searching out new bands. There's always a lot of really catchy and up-beat stuff there. More times than not bands only have one or two great songs, but there are LPs that can be found for a few bucks (though dollar bin finds are now $5 bin finds). The shortage of great songs is because every label was trying to sign the next Knack. But a few great albums that came out of that were The (Paul Collins) Beat - S/T, The Plimsouls - Everywhere at Once, The Shivvers - S/T (From Milwaukee!!!!), Flamin Groovies - Shake Some Action, Replacements - Pleased To Meet Me As far as other more recent rock stuff, I've been really into the White Reaper, especially "The World's Best American Band" and Sheer Mag - Need To Feel Your Love (Though this album rules, live Sheer Mag is very boring). Milwaukee's own Platinum Boys are incredible too. Think CCR playing twice as fast with three lead vocals. Super fun, catchy party music. Devils Teeth, also from Milwaukee are surfy party music worth checking out too. Might as well plug my band, Future Plans. LP coming out soon! https://futureplansmke.bandcamp.com
  16. Just for fun I went and looked, and 2020 sold out in June.
  17. This sounds amazing. Only way I could swing it though would be through a GoFundMe. Too many other upcoming expenses that are priorities.
  18. We always want a lighter show to go along with whatever heavy drama we're in. We're rewatching the Office for probably the 10th time.
  19. We've been watching the following: Westworld Crashing Shameless (though we're in the middle of season 6 and we're beginning to lose interest) Atlanta Game of Thrones Flint Town The Deuce Everything Sucks Home Improvement (We always have a "mindless" sitcom series on when we wanna watch something light)
  20. Very late to the party here. We have 5 years with two guys. We still have Corey Ray coming up. And five years to restock the outfield. By the time these contracts are up, we should have 4-5 guys ready to come up and stay competitive. If we can win now, win now. We can't play for the future forever. If this squad gets a ring, we can play 60 win ball for the next 10 years for all I care.
  21. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was great, especially in 3D. Is this a lifetime list or just current? Because Good Fellas is absolutely a must see.
