  1. I am guaranteeing a Brewers win today. It's going to happen. I can't explain why. Just trust me.
  2. Channel 736 is part of the Extra Innings package. If you don't have that, you can't watch it on 736. If you do, I don't think it will be blacked out because it's a road game and not on local TV.
  3. That's the key to beating Zambrano -- get him upset about something. The guy is a loose cannon. Having said that... I think it would be a mistake to characterize what happened last time as anything but a bunch of dinks and dunks that fell in for us (until C Lee bombed a frustrated Zambrano). The most vivid example was Brady Clark getting fooled so bad he looked like a statue in the batter's box, weakly flailing the bat at the ball and bloops it to right field. That's pretty much how the 2nd inning went for CZam. I wouldn't count on it again. But, maybe he'll get rattled in some other fashion.
  4. Apparently you weren't around in '82. Anyway... great win against the best pitcher in baseball (or at close). And it guarantees a winning homestand.
  5. Well... we are witnessing our future all wrapped up in one game tonight boys and girls. Rickie Weeks and Prince Fielder tearing apart Johan Santana and Jesse Crain (who has also been a top flight prospect himself). The only thing more poetic would have been to have Sheets on the mound. I know the game's not over yet. But, regardless of the outcome, it's exciting to see a taste of things to come. PS -- JJ's had a nice game, too.
  6. The Crew needs to take 2 out of 3 to have a winning home stand. Seeing as Santana is pitching tomorrow, this one becomes that much more important.
  7. Oh... I almost forgot. Dusty you idiot. How do you pitch to Bill Hall there?
  8. That's debatable. In a tie game, I would wait for a better situation for Overbay. Maybe, a situation comes up against a RHP later with runners on. He's the best guy on the bench, I would wait for the best possible matchup.
  9. With every game this guy plays I become more convinced that he is our 3B of the future.
  10. Not to mention Remlinger is pretty tough on lefties.
  11. You guys are overwhelming me with all the support for a brilliant non-move by Ned Yost.
  12. My orginal comments were directed at someone who blamed Yost -- and I quoted his comments. Go back and look it up. You joined in after that. In other words, my posts have not been directed at you personally. But, plenty of people here seem to live in the minutia to find anything whatsoever to blame on Yost. You jumped in the foray, sometime after I had criticized a different poster for doing just that.
  13. I like to call that Bill Wegman disease. He was like clock-work in that regard.
  14. It is rather annoying to continuously - post after post, day after day - read comments made in hindsight to criticize a manager's strategerie, isn't it?
  15. Dusty you idiot... why do you pitch to Moeller?
  16. Wait a minute... D Lee singled with one out in the inning and came around to score???? Yeah... there's no reason to believe he wouldn't score when you walk him to lead off an inning.
  17. Dusty you idiot. Why didn't you walk Lee?
  18. Last I checked a .463 OBP means he gets out more than half the time. With nobody on base, I'll take those odds. And also... last I checked Ben Sheets is a little bit better than your average Major League pitcher. So please... enough of your Monday morning QBing.
  19. Yes, and if it were 50 degrees, someone here would blame Yost for that. You know... sometimes you just get tired of reading non-stop stupidity, so forgive me.
  20. How 'bout you just try to get him out. There is no reason to intentionally walk- or pitch around - a leadoff hitter, no matter who he is.
  21. Oh shut up already. You want Yost to tell a Cy Young type pitcher to walk Lee when he's leading off an inning. That ranks up there for ignorant comments on this board -- and there have been plenty. He's Derek freaking Lee, not God.
  22. I think this is their 1st home game (of the season, anyway). That should be interesting. Of course, it's going to feel like a road game with all the Cub fans. Oh well... at least they'll appreciate how far we've come three years from now when Cub fans can't find a seat for less than $200 a pop.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  23. When was the 1st week-long benching?
