  1. What about Maicer Izturis from LAA? He's a backup 3rd baseman, SS and 2nd to Wood, Aybar and Kendrick? He signed a 3 yr/10 Mil deal before 2010. Plays solid D and good OBP.
  2. "When does a starter ever get pulled after allowing just two base runners? This also ignores that you actually have to give someone in the bullpen time to warm up as well." When the pitcher you select to start in an elimination game in the NLCS that allowed 34 runs in the last 34 innings pitched for the year with a dead arm is when you have some ready at all times no matter what inning or hitter it is. Its called managing a game before it gets out of hand. Very simple concept.
  3. A short leash should have been when Marcum allowed 2 base runners. Not after a single which turned out to be a double to Berkman, then a 3 run dinger. Narveson should have been on a shorter leash as well just as everyone should have been. I don't understand how he could justify leaving the pitchers in to put us in a hole in an elimination game with a full bullpen. All postseason, each game should have been treated like an elimination game. Arizona, up 2-0, then he lets Wolf and Marcum get shelled with a fresh bullpen. Then we had to waste Yo in a game 5 which we should have lost in the 9th. Larussa managed his pitchers how you need to in the Postseason, any sign of trouble, next pitcher. You can't worry about pitchers feelings or I have confidence in this guy. Kotsay in CF in the NLCS, a chance to go to the World Series, please. If you have to start Kotsay, put him in right and Gomez in CF to help out on defense. He has absolutely no range and showed it and shouldn't have been out there. Rookie Manager, not suited for the postseason. Sucks he and we have to learn from that.
  4. What is it about rookie pitchers pitching for the first time against the Brewers? This team is so frustrating.
  5. When RR was hired, he was quoted as saying, "Yeah, when Doug called and offered the job, it took all of 30 seconds for me to accept" Now if you count to 30 seconds, doesn't that seem like a long and akward time to sit silent before accepting something....I figured it was a sign to come. He sure did want the job bad I guess and can make snap decisions quickly.
  6. Long Islands!!!! I make them the best with one shot each of Patron, Tangueray Gin, Grey Goose Vodka and Bacardi Rum, one shot of Sweet/Sour and one shot of Triple Sec, topped off with Cola. Two of those and you are feeling awesome.
  7. Where is everyone getting the draft picks from, I'm trying from MLB.com and they are SLOW
  8. http://nbcsports.msnbc.co...7/ns/sports-player_news/ Brewers outfielder Corey Hart won his arbitration hearing Friday and was awarded a $4.8 million salary for 2010. It's a bit surprising that Hart pulled out the victory, considering he hit just .260/.335/.418 with 12 home runs in 472 at-bats last season. The 27-year-old outfielder was offered $4.15 million when arbitration figures were exchanged last week, so his prize is a cool $650,000.
  9. 1250 just reported that Corey won his arbitration hearing.....
  10. Doesn't Capuano still have an active streak for the Brewers where they have lost in 20+ straight games he has pitched in?
  11. GO PACKERS and BADGERS!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. how'd that happen? a clutch hit with 2 outs?
  13. But Dave Bush is so good at home, how can this happen
  14. This team has no heart and no leadership. I'm sick of wasting my time and money going to games and seeing them blow big leads, poor management, lack of hustle, no sense of urgency. Someone needs to get in here, replace Yost and light a fire under this team. Too many people not hustling, not taking pitches, leaving pitchers in way to long. It's too frustrating. I went to about 20 games this year and I can't remember the last game they actually won. I'm done going to games this year and if Yost is back next year I'm not renewing my 20-pack of season tickets. This team could be so good with the talent they have on this team. Everyone says its a long season, well since June, they have flat out sucked. The NL Central is terrible and there is no reason that the Brewers could still have a double digit lead in this division. Yost kept on saying, it'll be allright we're still in first, well we're not anymore and we're getting worse. A 1-5 homestand against the top two division rivals, this team doesn't deserve anything, especially going to the Playoffs to be embarrased.
  15. Anyone know what it is? Thanks
  16. Yost is doing everything in his power for the Brewers not to win. He just doesn't get it.
  17. If only Melvin could get rid of Moeller and get a catcher who can hit the ball and help the ball club verus hurt it.
