  1. I spoke with the uwm legal clinic. They won't have an attorney until classes start. It's unfortunate my dad left nothing in terms of money so I have to do this the hard way and find a way to pay for the debts if I can avoid selling the house. That's what I'm most worried about.
  2. I thought my father left a will but I cant find it. In the case that he didn't, I know I'll probably become the personal representative of the estate since I'm the only child and my father wasn't married or divorced. Beyond that my vision gets cloudy for what to do after I become the personal representative. We mostly have the funeral set. It's going to be in the mid 4 figure range. I also learned the medical examiner is bankrolling money with the fees ($150 to sign a death certificate really?).
  3. I'm graduating in May with a degree in Journalism concentrating in advertising and public relations.
  4. Thank you all. This is becoming harder on me as it's becoming a bit clear the house will have to sold to pay off debts (I think, I'm not a lawyer). In that event I'll have to move.
  5. My father's continued alcoholism finally paid the ultimate price - death. I'm only 24 years old and now both my parents are dead. I feel lost and deserted now with the people who brought me into this world now gone. Has anyone lost both parents at a relatively young age? How did you cope with it?
  6. Looks like it just started snowing in Milwaukee.
  7. Well there goes the streak. Milwaukee is getting a nice coat of snow right now.
  8. Just thought I'd announce that Milwaukee has a set a record for most consecutive days without snow - 280 as of today.
  9. Well this is set to be an interesting year for the Hall of Fame. Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens, and Barry Bonds are going to appear on the ballot together. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8686344/barry-bonds-roger-clemens-sammy-sosa-listed-hall-fame-ballot-first-time Do you think any of these 3 will get in the Hall on the first chance?
  10. The difference with Boston is Boston did not just get a shiny new stadium paid for by the city. The Marlins want to trim bad players/contracts? Fine go ahead but they better be signing more players and not enter spring training with a meager 16-30 million dollar payroll. The Marlins said they needed a new stadium to be competitive, now prove it.
  11. I'm not even a Marlins fan and I'm pissed about it. I really hope Selig rejects the trade.
  12. Thank you Nyjer for making 2011 an unforgettable year for me.
  13. This deserves mention from last night's game.
  14. The regular season and playoffs are too long. If the series went to 7 games, we'd be playing baseball in November, thats not right. Realistically, the World Series should be over and done with by mid October. Make the regular season 150 games or something, chop the AL/NLCS to a best of 5 instead of 7. Furthermore, with the current post season schedule, there is very little time to build hype for the World Series. The Super Bowl, hype builds up during a week. Super Bowl teams get a week to prepare for the game, but the World Series typically begins 2 or so days after the conclusion of the championship series. I'm not sure how MLB can change this as it would just extend the post season.
  15. Poor showing by the Tigers in this series. Oh well, at least it's not the Cardinals.
  16. Wonder what the fans were doing at the time. You'd think they would let them leave until the rain clears up. I wouldnt want to be sitting in stadium concourse for 3 1/2 hours.
  17. I'm starting this thread ahead of time because the producers announced the upcoming season will be the show's last. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/21/the-office-ending-with-season-9 Will be sad to see it go but I think it's for the best. The show has gone downhill.
  18. Schweddy's Balls
  19. I think ESPN picked the game up before the season started so it was anyone's guess if the Brewers would be in contention at this point.
  20. NBC is also streaming the Olympics online.
  21. Random fact of the day: The Angels have gone 23 innings without scoring a run.
  22. It's silly really, our biggest asset last year is our biggest liability this year. We effectively turned baseball into 7 innings last year. I have no idea why Axford and K-Rod are performing so badly this year.
