  1. I think wasting any bullets on a bullpen arm would be foolish. Yeah, I cringe any time Kintzler and Wooten enter the game, but we do have some reinforcements on the way. Henderson will hopefully be back soon. Thornburg is progressing. Nelson may possibly be taking over for Estrada soon. And then we have Jeffress and possibly Fiers in AAA who are options as well. If we do make a trade, it very well could be with a contender. Swap one of our plethora of lefties for a righty? Or, in my opinion less likely, trade Estrada for relief help? But we can only have 7 guys out there. KRod, Smith, Duke, and Gorz aren't going anywhere. Henderson and Thornburg will be out there if/when they get healthy. Wang probably isn't going anywhere at this point. Then we have Jeffress, Fiers, and possibly Estrada as options... that's 10 guys. Now if the end of July rolls around and Henderson or Thornburg have had setbacks and aren't close to returning, then definitely pull the trigger.
  2. I second this. The only FA I would possibly look to bring in is a cheap 2nd/3rd string PG for a year, depending on what they decide to do with Knight. That brings me to a couple questions I have. 1. I thought I initially heard that the team now considers Knight as a SG. Is there any truth to this? If so... Thank God! 2. How in the world are they going to find enough minutes for their glut at PF/C? A trade has to be coming, right? You have to imagine that Sanders and Parker will be getting around 30 MPG. Henson will probably get around 25 MPG. If my math is correct, that leaves about 11 MPG for Ersan, Zaza, and Radjulica. Plus, there's probably a good chance Giannis will get some minutes at PF. 3. Any update on Delfino? I'm kind of expecting him to come back this year with those "blade runner" legs. Is he planning on coming back at all?!
  3. NAP- Yeah, I was lucky to get Woodson shortly after the Super Bowl. He's REALLY tough. The big names that I still need are Driver, Bulaga, and Cullen Jenkins. I'm running out of space on my helmet, and I'd REALLY like to find a way to get McCarthy before it's completely full. Previous Packers coaches have been easy to get, but McCarthy does not park with the team... so I'm out of ideas.
  4. I have gotten a majority of them at mini camps, OTS, or training camp.
  5. I've been working on getting a Packers helmet signed by the 2010 Super Bowl Team. I've been pretty successful so far, as I'm just missing a few of the players. But I would like to add Mike McCarthy to the helmet, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone have any hints on a good place to get McCarthy's autograph? Thanks in advance.
  6. So BCD80, I don't understand your thinking at all. So you have Manager A who admits he mad a mistake, but does something different the next time he is in that same situation putting his team in a better chance to win. And you have Manager B who doesn't admit his mistake and keeps making the same mistake over and over, costing his team wins here and there. Doesn't winning games keep a manager off the hot seat?
  7. I haven't collected baseball cards in years, but have been getting the urge to buy and break open a box. What is the best kind these days? I guess I would like some excitement in the box (autos, game used, etc). Any suggestions?
  8. Is anyone going to have an extra Opening Day magnet? If so, I would be interested in buying one for a couple bucks. Please let me know!
  9. What package do you have? I think if you have the "Fan's Choice" option, your tickets come in a rubber band. But if you have a set package, they come in a nice book.
  10. I'm not an expert on NBA trades, but Charlotte would need to add salary to that trade to make it happen. Looking at Charlotte's roster, the only expiring contracts the Bobs have are Ben Gordon and Ramon Sessions. Sessions plays good minutes for the Bobs, so he won't be traded. And Gordon makes 5+M more than Butler, so the Bucks would have to add more. The Bucks could add Neal to the deal to make it work, but I'd imagine the Bobs could get more than Butler, Neal, and a 2nd for Gordon's expiring, let alone adding a 1st. And it's the same thing for Ersan. They don't have a contract or couple to match. In my opinion, the only way we're going to get a first for anything other than Sanders, Henson, and Giannis is to take back a bad contract... and the Bucks definitely shouldn't do that. The 3 that the Bucks should be looking to trade are Ersan, Neal, and Mayo and try to bring someone back on a shorter term contract.
  11. What in the world do the Bucks have that Charlotte would want that they would give up that pick for?
  12. I would be interested in the Oglivie and Thomas if they are still available.
  13. The issue with the Bucks this year is there are so many bad teams in the east, it's going to be difficult for them to "tank." Kohl has said repeatedly that they aren't going to be tanking. Right now they are 2-10 and just got blown out by the Bobcats. But you know they are looking at the standings and saying "Now that we have Ridnour, Knight, and Ersan back we should be able to pick up some games here. We're only 2.5 games out of that 7 seed!" The other issue with so many teams being so bad and looking to tank, that leaves fewer teams looking to acquire players for the stretch run. If the Bucks do decide to trade some of their players (Butler, Ersan, Neal), they probably won't get what they are looking to get because 15 tanking teams are trying to sell their players to about 10-12 teams looking to buy. I can see Kohl saying "That's all we can get for Butler? He's a Racine native and is worth more to this team than that! No trade!" And as you can tell, I think Hammond is just a pawn. I think Kohl is running this team (into the ground).
  14. Yeah... I think it's a pipe dream that the Brewers would be able to get Castellanos for a couple relievers and even with Aoki added in. Even if he is blocked, it's only for 1 more season. After next year, Victor Martinez will move on and Prince or Cabrera will move to DH, opening up a spot for him. And even if Detroit was interested in moving him, like jjfanec says, it's going to be for something more than a couple rental relief pitchers and a decent OF. Anyone hoping for Castellanos is opening themselves up for massive disappointment.
  15. Below is a link I came across on Twitter this evening. Dodgers are apparently after KRod. http://brewernation.mlblogs.com/2013/07/19/trade-rumor-report-another-k-rod-suitor-has-been-identified/
  16. A lot of people are saying this. "We have to get pitching back if we make trades." And while I agree with that to some extent, we have to get back the highest regarded players regardless of position for a couple reasons. First, our MiLB system isn't exactly stacked with great position players. We may have a few, but they are still in the lower levels of the system... and who knows if they are going to develop. And secondly, we don't really have that big piece to trade to get a top of the rotation arm. Gallardo could possibly bring back a higher upside arm, but that's very borderline. Most teams aren't willing to give up guys with top of the rotation potential. And the Brewers right now have a glut of #3-#4 type pitchers that could possibly top out as a #2. How many of those type pitchers do we need? The team needs to build through their MiLB system once again, and need to acquire the best talent offered regardless of position.
  17. We have a bunch of SharePoint books, but it's just the things we are having problems with are too random to find in a book. For example: One issue we are having is we are using the Discussion Board SharePoint feature for a company Bulletin Board (post things you are looking to buy/sell). We want the posts to delete themselves after they have been posted for 30 days. I've done some research, and it looks like this is a known issue with SharePoint... but we aren't able to get the work-around to work. Another issue is we are having an issue pulling our company directory over from Active Directory. This is one issue the IT guy is working on and is way over my head, but he is doing everything his research is telling him to do but it's still giving him an error message. A third stupid issue is we can't figure out how to get PDF files to open in their own window. When they open, they open in the window the SharePoint site is in.
  18. Last fall the company I work for finally decided to make the jump into the 21st century and implement our first employee intranet. One of the guys on our IT Team and I were picked to head up the effort. Neither of us had any previous experience working in SharePoint, let alone building an intranet site from stratch. We each took a couple training sessions, and so far have progressed on the project pretty successfully; but we have recently come upon some small issues that have us baffled. Does anyone have any experience with SharePoint? Does anyone know of any SharePoint forums that may be of a help to us? It's just frustrating because some of the issues we are experiencing seem to be very basic, but no matter how much Googling we do we can't find a fix that works. Thanks in advance!
  19. I think the answer to that is pretty obvious... The Vegas line was 7.5 runs! I'm sure that would sound better if I knew anything about gambling!
  20. It looked like he was safe by an eyelash. It was really close.
  21. The Imagine Dragons show was complete chaos. I have never seen that many people trying to see a show. We were in the middle and there were people as far as you could see watching the show. People weren't able to walk through the main walk area because people were watching the show. People were packed in the picnic table/bleacher area like sardines. We ended up leaving about 30 minutes into the show because we figured it would take forever to get out after the show was over... and it took us 15 minutes to go probably 200-250 feet. I was talking to the people next to us, and they were saying it took them 90 minutes to buy their tickets and get into the grounds. Unreal. On a side note... I'm amazed at parents bringing their LITTLE kids to these events. There was a mom with 2 kids (probably 2-3) trying to get closer in the Imagine Dragons performance. There as a guy on stage standing next to the performing DJ holding a small baby. There was a couple with 2 babies in a stroller about 5 rows from the stage at the LL Cool J performance. I just shake my head!
  22. Here's the clip. It's much better in HD, but watch the guy in the white shirt come running down from the concession area.
  23. Did anyone else see the guy take a digger going for a foul ball? If you DVR'd the game, go back to the bottom of the 7th with Aoki at bat. On the 3-1 pitch, he fouls one off to the stands on the third base side. All of a sudden you see this guy running down from the concession stand area trying to get the ball, even though he has no chance. He starts cutting through a row and just wipes out... with whatever he just bought going everywhere. The funniest part was a lady laughing hysterically at him after he got up. I've watched it probably 20 times and keep cracking up!
