  1. This is kind of off topic, but we saw Escobar and Cruz in the little area around the Cardinals/Coyotes stadiums. That new little area, just north of University of Phoenix Stadium is pretty neat if you're looking for a place to eat/explore. We followed the GPS to Cold Stone, and came across this nice little area!
  2. Yeah, we got Brett twice while we were out there, and from our experience... he was not at all friendly. My dad, who rarely says anything bad about anyone, came back saying "Wow... what a jerk!" But what I always say... everyone has their bad days and maybe we just caught him on 2 of them.
  3. TracyThom- I had the same problems you had, but actually just got into the Saturday Virtual Waiting Room and a message popped up: "Please Note: Tickets for the following games are not available at this time: 4/17, 5/21, 5/23, 5/25, 5/26, 5/27, 7/17" So I'm not sure if this means the tickets to these games are sold out, or what... but it's a possibility they just had a problem with the system.
  4. We just got back from an 8 day venture down to Maryvale, and had great weather and a great time! We attended 2 games, all their full practices, and watched 1 minor league practice. Just a couple of my observations... It is extremely fun to watch Weeks take batting practice. He hits the ball hard every time... so hopefully that means his wrist is health and will be back to his form last year. Secondly, if Brett Lawrie doesn't work out at second, he has a future in the outfield. He was in center field during batting practice, and he looked like a natural out there. He seemed to be going 100% and looked VERY comfortable. He was making good breaks on the ball, taking good angles, and just looked comfortable out there. I don't know if he'll ever get moved out there, but just an observation! And lastly, Prince's son is such a cutie. He'd come to practice with his Brewers shirt and blue jeans, but would have batting gloves in his back pocket, a batting helmet, and his own glove and bat. The one day Prince was throwing him BP in the batting cages, and he was pretty impressive for a 4-5 year old. Is it too early to start asking him for an autograph?!
  5. I thought Andy's character was great last night. Between the dogs sniffing his crotch and his comment while having tissues in his nose because of Phyllis' smell had me rolling. And I loved at the end when Jim put Dwight's tie in his coffee... I hope that means the old Jim is back!
  6. My charge finally came through, and it is a weird amount. Was their a convenience fee that was charged? If not, I can not figure out what I was charged for. But either way, I doesn't look like I got my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice.
  7. I would also love one. Thanks a lot! PM Sent.
  8. I was hoping someone would be able to help me with this. At the On Deck event, I started a team helmet. But when Escobar signed, he smeared Gamel's signature. Does anyone know of anything that will take that off? Thanks in advance.
  9. I'll agree with everyone... it was very well run this year and it was awesome to have the extra space!! I focused on autographs, and between my dad and myself, we were able to get Bush and Suppan's TimberRattlers bobbleheads signed, a LaTroy Hawkins Fort Wayne bobble signed, a Randy Wolf Phillies bobble signed, a Gamel bobble signed, a Escobar ball signed, and both Gamel and Escobar on a team helmet I started. I was surprised at how short some of the lines were. But It was pretty cool. We also got 2 grab bags and thought it was funny that both of your "big" items were old video games. We also got 2 authenticated balls in our grab bags. I looked them up and I think it's cool they can tell you exactly what happened with that ball! But all in all, I thought it was great. There didn't seem to be as many people there as last year though.
  10. Has anyone heard anything about any other prospects on the 40-Man roster being there like last year? And where these players located last year? In the minor league section? Thanks in advance.
  11. And that's fine. But I started arguing this going from your original post saying: "I am completely fine with them Braun only signing the photo cards and here is why; If Braun is constantly signing everything and anything, the value and coolness factor of that sig on items goes waaaaaaay down. If Braun's auto is easily attainable, Mikita wont sell nearly as much stuff." You are saying it's Braun's/Mikita's choice on what he gets to sign. The Brewers ask him to sign 470 autographs per year, and he should sign however the Brewers ask him to. So yes, the Brewers ask him to sign cards, fine. I'm fine with that. But if it was Braun's decision, like you said in your original post, that's wrong.
  12. I realize that... and does he have to sign autographs at those times? No. But this is a Brewers team event. They ask him to sign 4 times per year! I have not beef with players that don't sign autographs all those other times. That's their personal time. But these are Brewers team events. The BREWERS ask him to sign 470 autographs per year. That is not many.
  13. I can understand where you're coming from. But Braun is not constantly signing everything and anything. The Brewers ask him to sign 4 times per year (2 auto Fridays, 1 Block Party, and On Deck). That's what? 60+60+100+250=470 signatures per season. 470 signatures per year is hardly "signing everything and anything." And for the people that want a non-personalized autograph, they have to go through Mikita anyways. Edit: If Braun doesn't want to sign memorabilia at this event, then maybe he should actually promote Mikita. I'm sure 99.9% of Brewer fans who may be interested in his autograph have no idea about his contract. I'm not sure if the Brewers would allow this, but what he should do is say "$25 gets you a personalized autographed picture card. If you would like something else signed, I am under contract with Mikita and am not allowed to sign other things. But, I will be willing to take $25 of your purchase at Mikita and donate that to the Brewers Charity." He could give that option to the first 250 people.
  14. It's right HERE. In the last question he answers. It says to "keep the line moving." None of the players had a problem getting through the 250 last year, except Braun. And the only reason he didn't was because he was personalizing.
  15. I would be really interested in hearing Braun's response if someone asked him the reasoning behind this, while also reminding him that $40 was paid.
  16. Is it just me, or are the schedules ridiculously stupid? Why in the world do you not have Braun, Fielder, Yount, and Hoffman signing right off the bat? They do realize that there are going to be 250ish people standing in those lines for up to 4 hours in Braun's case, right? It just doesn't make sense to me why they would want 4 full lines of 250 people standing there for between 2.5 and 4 hours. I'd think they'd want to get those 4 done and out of the way so people spread out, and some even head home.
  17. See, I was in the Hart line also, and the line I was in was totally different than Hoffman. They had 1 set of the barriers that were blocked off from advancing, and that's where the Hart line started. Once Hoffman ended, they opened the barrier, so the people could go up to the stage for Hart. I noticed this at multiple stages also. Hart's line had Hoffman's line to the left, and Gallardo's line to the right. It was crazy, but people seemed to communicate well as to whose line they were in.
  18. I don't really understand what you're saying. It's not one long line per station, at least that's what happened last year. Like if Gallardo is signing first, and Hart is signing second... they will have both a Gallardo and Hart line. And I would put money on the group of Braun, Fielder, Yount, Hoffman signing in the first group. If not their lines would be chaos to keep, and also then nobody would want to leave the line to go get the other players.
  19. With Braun, Fielder, Yount, and Hoffman, that's 1000 autograph tickets... which is quite a few people. Last year I got there just before 8, and was around 100 in Fielder's line and probably 300 in the entrance line. But after I arrived, the line grew VERY quickly! I'd guess by 8:30 there were 600+ people in line.
  20. There seems to be quite a few spring training experts on here, so I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this. We've been down to spring training many times, but are thinking about going really early this year. Last time we were down there my dad really liked sitting and watching the minor leaguers practice, so he wanted to head down there this year a couple days before the games started so we could watch the Brewers practice. My main question is, are you able to watch the Brewers practice or is it fenced off? And if so, where do they practice? I'm also wondering the same thing for the other teams in the cactus league: Do you have access to watch them practice? And if so, do they practice right at their stadium? Thanks a lot for any help you can give me!
  21. It still cracks me up the way Dwight reacts to some of Michael's shenanigans. At the very beginning of the show when Michael comes out in his blind character, I just loved the huge smile on Dwight's face, along with his fist pump and "YEA!" But I agree, there are little things throughout each episode that make the show. I always miss some of those things the first time I watch, so I always make sure to watch each episode twice.
  22. The Bucks Promo schedule is now out. The dates above are the correct dates for the 2 bobbleheads.
  23. I'm looking to get new boxes for a couple of my bobbleheads, but don't really know where to look. Does anyone know of a place that sells plain white boxes that are about the size of a bobblehead? Thanks.
  24. Yeah, I wasn't too into this weeks episode. The only part I really laughed at was one of Creed's lines. The new show that I find hilarious is Modern Family. In my opinion, the first 2 episodes have been great! If you haven't seen them, check them out on ABC, I believe.
  25. There were only 30,024 people at that game!! That's 10,000-12,000 less than the normal bobblehead and not even close to a sell out.
