  1. I'm pretty sure that was an error by mlbtraderumors.
  2. Final: Oklahoma City Dodgers 8, Colorado Springs 4 Sky Sox Defeated 8-4 By Dodgers By Aaron Cheris / Colorado Springs Sky Sox Colorado Springs Box Score Colorado Springs fell to the Oklahoma City Dodgers 8-4 Saturday night. The Sky Sox were undone by three errors, three wild pitches and four walks - not to mention nine hits. In a disastrous second inning, the Sky Sox walked two batters, threw two wild pitches had an error and gave up two hits. The highlight of the evening for Colorado Springs was a three run HR by SS Orlando Arcia in the third. It was Arcia’s eight HR of the season, tying his career high (set last year at Biloxi). Hiram Burgos struggled in the lose, his eighth of the year. Yadiel Rivera had two of the Sky Sox’s errors. Dodger prospect Jose De Leon held the Sky Sox to three hits over seven innings, walking only two and striking out one. Colorado Springs Game Log Garrett Cooper, who went 0-4 tonight, has struggled since his call up to AAA, hitting .105 since his promotion.
  3. If Luc is traded, it would be nice if he could pinch hit one last time. Just for one final ovation. But I understand if they don't. Last thing they need is him getting HBP.
  4. Braun was pulled just before game time. His injury is still bothering, so no need to start speculating.
  5. Matt Kemp and Jeff Kent's child
  6. If Matt Kemp can get dealt, anyone can. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/07/matt-kemp-hector-olivera-trade-braves-padres.html Olivera will likely get released by SD. This makes it a cash dump for SD. I find it odd Atlanta would want Kemp.
  7. The stars are there because swearing is frowned upon. You've had a lot of those I've read recently. Maybe tone em down. Piss offStop it now. The poster was correct.
  8. If it is Cleveland, I'll guess: Lucroy and Smith to Cleveland Mejia, McKenzie and Sheffield to Milwaukee
  9. David Stearns "progressing" on a Lucroy trade, per Craig Counsell. Nothing final yet. Brewers playing it safe by keeping Lucroy out.
  10. We have 48 hours to make something happen. Lots of time for stuff to happen.
  11. I'm betting the Red Sox. They want to win, they have the prospects to deal. I can't believe how horrible the Mets are about making deals. Look at last year's Gomez trade (that didn't happen). Guys crying on the field, leaks left and right. Did anyone have an inkling about the Red Sox trade for Pomeranz? Not a clue. So you CAN keep things quiet if you want. Just makes them look silly in the long run.
  12. I just don't understand how anyone can make this conclusion.
  13. I actually don't mind Nimmo. I like a lot of what he does, but he's not a centerpiece for a player of Luc's caliber. I love Met fans acting like Nimmo is the next coming of Ichiro or something.
  14. Every deal that happens places a value on players. That should help us. The thing 'bad' about deals is that it can sometimes take away a potential suitor. But with relievers, there are a lot of teams with a need for one or more, so I'm not too concerned about that happening.
  15. I think this comment on MLBtraderumors.com said it best regarding the Mets offer for Luc: "It’s amazing teams still answer the mets phone calls"
  16. Nimmo as a major prospect is kind of a joke. He's hitting .336 in Las Vegas - but it's the classic 'hitters paradise'. Eight guys with 100 plate appearances are hitting .290+ in that environment. Last year Nimmo had a .722 OPS at AA. 2 HR in 269 ABs. I just don't want people fooled by 1/2 season of decent ball at a hitter's park.
  17. More on the Mets off here: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/07/details-on-mets-offer-to-brewers-for-jonathan-lucroy.html
  18. I think we should keep this thread on the topic - center field. If someone wants to start a different thread about Khris Davis or Nottingham or Stearns' trades, great, but let's not hijack things. Thank you.
  19. I really appreciate it when people link to sources or quote them or something. Saying 'the internets are reporting xyz' doesn't really help anyone. It's just makes it harder to find actual relevant information on the subject.
  20. Agree. Not that I don't like Profar, but he's only controlled through 2019. I want longer control on people we acquire. No Profor, no d'arnaud, no Wheeler.
  21. I'm not sure what Khris Davis has to do with CF. Or the trade return. Also HRs is not old time stat. It is an immensely relevant stat.
  22. Segura never was higher than #55 on BA's Top 100. He was never close to being a can't miss prospect.
  23. But the Pirates didn't win. Milwaukee did. It's a team thing. End of story.
  24. Final: Colorado Springs 3, Nashville 2 Rivera Homer Leads Sox Over Sounds 3-2 By Aaron Cheris / Colorado Springs Sky Sox Colorado Springs Box Score Colorado Springs Game Log The Sky Sox defeated the Nashville Sounds 3-2 Friday night. The killing blow was a three run shot with two outs in the 7th inning by Yadiel Rivera. It was Rivera’s first HR of the season. Tyler Cravy picked up the win with two innings of hitless relief while Damien Magnifico earned his 13th save while working around a hit and a walk in the ninth inning. Sky Sox starter Josh Hader had a solid outing, giving up two runs and striking out nine against three hits and three walk in five innings. He did continue his season long trend of throwing a fair amount of pitches - 88, with 54 strikes. The Brewers managed only five hits against the Sounds, but added five walks. Luckily, Cechinni, Young and Rivera strung together three of our hits in the crucial 7th inning, culminating in Rivera’s HR, to clinch the game.
