  1. Fangraphs has the Brewers winning the division.... gotta make hay the next two months when the matchups look better. https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds
  2. I bet players would love to play for you. When stupidity meets carelessness, I’d be there for them with a cup of coffee. They’ve blown more routine DP balls in two months than in the two years prior...

  4. That last play to end the game... AFTER REALLY bad defense that cost two DPs.... Adames GLOVE FLIPS it to Wong when he could just step on the base a yard away? Have words with them CC.... please.
  5. Hader gets 3 outs and they must be in the 9th or the sky will fall, so sayeth the 2021 version of Craig Counsell. Start thinking that there is more to the story.... is he not willing to pitch more than one inning? No contract rumblings this year, yet here we are with one inning Hader.
  6. Maybe. No way a given. Suter, in a high leverage situation pitching 88 to a bunch of righties, is just asking for trouble.
  7. No need to ask, because the answer is obvious. There is no 10th inning if you don't get through the 9th. This is nuts. You can't expect to get through the 10th when it starts with a man on second base with a scrub pitching. The scrub has a much better chance with nobody on base. This is a bad take and should be asked of Counsell. Agreed..... logical, especially if scrub can be replaced with one out and two on in 9th (3 pitch rule).
  8. It’s getting to a point where I just want Rodgers to lose. Not there yet, but the arrogance combined with new wife and social media stuff, the anti team stance, the passive aggressive approach, the Jeopardy host sideshow (he was not good or funny), and his failure to take any blame for anything himself.... it’s not a good look.
  9. More I watch, the more I wonder if Hader or agent has made a stink that he does not pitch 1+ anymore.... He had contract issues before, and it was strangely silent with him this offseason. Craig’s brilliance in the pen was centered around Hader pitching multiple innings or parts of innings to get a key lefty out. Now.... it’s the 9th no matter wha. Throw in no bunt, no steal, and endless K’s to lead many fans to bemoan a ugly game, even a win they had to sit through.
  10. Two hesitations by Hiura cost Brewers a run a couple of times in the 10th.... why he didn’t get a big lead off 3rd and go on contact is beyond me. Go even if it is obvious you won’t make it, taking away the DP. Get a clue.
  11. This. He's completely talking out of both sides of his mouth here. You can bemoan not taking care of the 'people around you' or making the moves you want them to make, but it's YOUR OWN contract and, apparently, demands for A HIGHER contract that are literally handcuffing the Packers from being able to make said deal. Want them to trade for Julio Jones? Maybe adjusting your cap number this year would help in that.... Unless, of course, all that other stuff is just noise, and it's about you yourself getting paid, and only that. He’s a lost soul...... most words that came out of the interview was about self, not others. The Packers are thinking TEAM first, not individual feelings. How often have we heard that “it’s a business” with players talking free agency or trades? Now it is about people? He can feel the GM is a jerk all he wants, but how can he think the GM is not caring for the whole franchise first? I liked Rodgers when he was quiet. Now he is more and more a know it all acting like he’s got the Packers in a no win situation. He’s the one that is losing more and more credibility each day he pretends to have all the cards in this charade. His whole legacy is literally in Jeopardy.
  12. It’s about the people!! Benjamin Franklin, Andrew Jackson, Alexander Hamilton, etc...... Yeah, a lot of cliches and nonsense.... If it's about the people, it's really about the Green Bay Packers' fans.... those people. It's about the ones that support the team and follow the team, pay the bills, and against all odds have a NFL team. Rodgers is just about as clueless and lost as one can get. Then again, it is about the people.... just those he's forgetting about.
  13. Haven’t heard but Can’t believe that TV ratings are up... Considering the poor offense but even more the number of usual Brewer TV fans not able or willing to pay to watch. Several I know are simply not following the team in any way, much different than past years.
  14. But it did give them at advantage, right? In a game where one at bat can make or break a game, it can’t be underestimated.
  15. And Hiura will be back if he keeps hitting.....
  16. The title of this reminded me of Game 162 (2018).
  17. They won and they scored 10 runs.... glad to have more hope in the offense. The only real negative I came away from the game is a real reluctance to assume anything hit to Urias is a sure out. I have been burned in that thinking too often.
  18. He would go for the pylon and he probably needs a juke...
