  1. I’ll take guys that bunt from the pitcher position.
  2. 100% with masks and no paper tickets behind a net at a field with a worse name where you can no longer carry in about anything with little hope of scoring more than a run or two while paying $200 for a family to sit in seats to watch a pitcher and catcher play catch for 300 pitches for 3 and a half hours. That’s my worse take.... yet it’s all fairly accurate.
  3. I’d rather lose without him... Cards C too.
  4. Rodgers runs for that TD against Tampa- you know the one- when he’s 27.
  5. He lost running skills... no where near as quick or fast. Also, it’s amazing how wide open guys can be when the running game is working. Still amazingly good at 37... can’t play better than last season... impossible.
  6. Moving the mound back one foot turns out to be quite significant: --- I strongly disagree, it's been shown conclusively that the time taken between pitches is what has increased game time more than any other factor. A home run is the same as any other successful outcome of an at-bat when it comes to time of game. There was an example comparing 2 games from recent vs. the 1980s with the same number of runs, hits, pitching changes, and # of pitches thrown and the modern game was something like 45 minutes longer. Which makes sense--all it takes is 10 seconds longer between pitches to add 45 minutes to a baseball game. Decreasing time between pitches speeds up the game. It's literally that simple. No need to overthink it. Just speed up the time between pitches. The game gets 5 minutes faster for every one second you reduce between pitches. Good luck getting that return with any other type of rule change. How to put this into the game seamlessly without the idea of a pitch clock is the question... 1. Bonus money for pitching quickly? Top 50 pitchers with the lowest time between pitches get bonus? 2. Bottom 50 get docked pay? 3. Maybe pitch clock early in the game and no clock late innings.
  7. Allowing no pick throws would help the running game. If you throw over or step off, it’s a balk. Do for baseball what the 3 point shot did for basketball. Allow the game to be played in a different and more exciting way.
  8. I think a plan out of this could be just giving Rodgers more guaranteed money in 22. Rodgers saves some face- that should be important to the Packers- and says the whole thing was overblown by the media. Or just tell him to win a Super Bowl and we will give him his outright release.
  9. For all we know, he got sick FROM the shot.
  10. Why would Ryan Braun want to tarnish his good name by associating with 12? Aren’t all of us pigs in the mud? Crazy twists and turns, though; I agree.
  11. Also, Braun is arguably more liked in Wisconsin than 12.... maybe first time since 2008.
  12. Maybe Braun and 12 can open another restaurant. Better yet, do it AMFam. It could be a Jeopardy themed restaurant where all of our injured people can hang out and watch the game. Late innings, Braun can suit up for a pinch at bat.
  13. He framed a big strike 3 tonight with Hader that was out of the zone.
  14. Shame? For not getting a vaccination? How in the wide world can you make that judgment? Do you know of his situation in the slightest? Even if you did, this is his call, not yours. I have no idea what the situation is, but if he's missing time and he wouldn't if he had gotten vaccinated I think it's fair for a fan to say "shame on him". Just like it's fair for a fan to say "shame on him" for a guy who gets hurt doing something stupid in the offseason. Don't take it too literally, we're not family or friends, we're fans of a sports team. Choosing not to get a shot is not comparable to ACTUALLY doing something stupid in the offseason. Not fair to say to the man face to face or on this board....
  15. Kinda cool that he is from UW Stevens Point. Not too often does that happen for an in house COLLEGE baseball team player start a game for the Brewers. Still surprises me that UW doesn’t have a baseball team, considering the large crowds of Brewers (in state) and Mallards (in city).
  16. Looking for general info here.... Are paper tickets being sold at the team ticket office? If so, what is the surcharge (if any)? Also, any word on group tickets.... I thought perhaps season ticket holders would have some extra info with this or any other info on tickets.
  17. Still trying to get over this play.

  19. If Gute continues to say no to trading Rodgers, I cannot see a situation where this goes well. Either/And.... Rodgers won’t back down and won’t play for the Packers. The team will be haunted by playing and losing with Love. They’ll have an MVP in their back pocket that could be traded for immediate or future help with the team, but that will result in the Packers having to eat crow and do a 180 on their initial decision.
  20. If it does, how absolutely absurd is it that he would do to Love exactly what was done to him 13 years ago? Agreed.... he’s doing himself no favors. His memory is failing him.
  21. Rodgers is better than Favre. Favre had so much fun playing.... great interview. He was Green Bay. I felt more emotionally tied to him leaving than Rodgers, if or when he does.

  23. Agreed... his ego is like Favre’s at his end. If the Packers rid themselves of Love and offered him more money and a bigger/longer contract, that would have to be tough for him to turn down. However, now it looks over. Jerk way to treat an organization, though.
