And if he is out for most of next season too, I think we have seen the last of Woodruff. He shouldn't be given $10 million to pitch a couple of months. No arby... just release. Non-tender.

And all the talk about rested bullpen... whatever. Most of the Brewers can go three days in a row, if needed. They have had a picture perfect last week or so. Some need to throw a ball 20-30 times tonight.

Crazy that Winker wasn't pulled up last week to actually see MLB pitching and get some at bats in.

I think it is incredibly fair. Win more and get a bye. Brewers also get potentially three more home playoff games than the best two teams. That is quite the benefit to worst division winner and best wild card team. And when people used to complain about a one game playoff after 162 games, I could understand. Losing a three game series at home? Nope. It’s more than fair for #3/4 seeds.

And why not have him hit daily the last few games if he is making the playoff roster? No MLB pitching for weeks/months? And he is our left handed bat off bench?

Thought they should have gone with another lefty in 2011 for Game 5 (Narveson) considering how they struggled so with Wolf. Then Greinke and Yo could have gone 6 and 7 at home. Greinke didn’t lose at home all year.

If it’s Burnes, Peralta, and Miley in the NLWC, I have to assume again that Burnes is not going on three days rest and would pitch Monday in Game 2 and Saturday in Game 5, That would give Peralta and Miley NLDS Games 3 and 4. The big question is if Houser is included in the NLWC to pitch in relief on Wed/Thurs or if he potentially would be penciled in to start Game 1 of the NLDS if we sweep.
