  1. Doug Melvin has to be considered partially responsible for compiling a roster full of undiciplined, terrible situational hitters, who strike out constantly. --i am just sick of hearing the mantra "stay level headed, keep doing what you're doing". For some of these guys like weeks, cameron, hall its time to push the panic button. Really the only two guys who should keep doing what they are doing are braun and hardy. really happy texira is out of the nl
  2. i think i can remember another really painfull inning where the brewers gave up 5+ without recording an out. At least i was drunk for that one
  3. when was the last time we talked about Jim ska. I think i voted for his exit last year sometime. This game hurts so much
  4. i completely agree. platoon pitchers for home and away. this is just insane.
  5. ty, i'll pass it along. mods feel free to lock
  6. My boss loves the brewers but says he can't find the games on dish network. Does anyone know if this is true. We are in madison
  7. It seems to me that the brewers are on the short end of this stick. I can't remember the last time they sent a team out at night on a wednesday, but it happens to them every so often. If i am Mark A. and Co. i'd start playing hardball, pun intended.
  8. that was pure awesome. well done top. I'll take extras or maybe some prince heroics in the ninth
  9. and torres was going to be extended and pitching for the third consecutive day.
  10. TooLive, I completely agree with your post. Yost made huge fundamental managerial errors and oversights tonight. In spite of which the brewers were still able to nab one of their best wins this season. Imagine this fanboard, or even JS if any of these senarios play out last night. 1. Mota implodes. His command wasn't there. He hadn't pitched in a long time. He got lucky. How could Yost possibly justify pitching him in this game. Myself, like i am sure many others on this board, thought he was gone when soup returns. Now i don't know. If we were going to use him in a game like last night, wouldn't it have been benefical to let him pitch with one of the big leads we had over the weekend? 2. Pujos beats us. How can you pitch to this guy with the game on the line. I understand the next match up with ankiel wasn't favorable either, but no way would i let Albert beat me in the ninth. 3. Torres gives up two runs in the 10th. Imagine the difficutly of explaining the decision to let him hit to the media. Although yost wouldn't, (he'd come off with some snide dismissive remark). The guy hadn't hit in 3 years and he walks him up there with a runner is scoring position. I didn't list the lack of defensive substitution and use of gagne, both of which are very questionable of debatable decisions. I guess this goes to show how minimal an affect a manager has when players perform. ------------------------- Moderator Note Several posts in this thread have been move to a new one: Yost: Rickie's "doing fine," but has "never achieved" --1992casey -------------------------
  11. Its just absurd really. There is absolutely NO point in sending him out to throw more. I thought Dusty was coaching the Reds. normally i'd agree but bush is done until after the break and having a career day. I think it was a good move by ned. 13 k's a big deal.
  12. my brewers confessional: I am comfortable with this lead on this day
  13. that tack on is also important
  14. aktins made an out. count our lucky stars
  15. which one, the rockies or the brewers. I really hate the rockies.
  16. he has been doing that for years. My brother and I jokingly refer to them as fat coughs. I think he is actually attempting to catch his breath by doing it.
  17. excellent topic and follow up posts. I'm am very interested to read rulz's reply.
  18. millerparksouth. I am sorry to be snippy but this is a really sore subject for me. I just don't get why any true fan would ever chose to boo their home team. It makes 0 sense. Considering the disparity of win/loss records home and away across the entire baseball league, and esp. for the brewers why fans boo at home is way beyond me. It is so obvious to me it's beyond discussion. Even in the bill hall situation, i mean yeah it upset me he said he didn't want to be a brewer, but booing him doesn't help. Is the release of your anger/disappointment expressed in a boo really worth the chance of influencing the outcome of the game negatively? If it is you aren't a true fan of the team.
