I've been on the road for the most part of 3 weeks now. I really look forward to the Brewer's games, but I don't think they've scored more than 2 runs in any game I've watched lately. Half the games I turned off after the 4th inning. It's really hard to believe this team is going to the playoffs. They are really that bad right now. -
Millwood is pitching like crap and the Brewers still have only 1-hit the first time through the order.

Mageeeheee isn't a very good fielder, that's why. At some point this month, the Brewer's offense is going to wake up, right?

I saw that, and thought it was a misprint. Why open the new ballpark with a one-game series? Why not open the season with a normal series like everyone else? Strange. I like the inconvenience for the Cards, though. I'm sure they're already whining about it.

Boy, there have been some crappy, boring games in the past few weeks. This has to be one of the crappiest. They look like they're 25 games under .500 and just playing to get the season over with.

Putting players into situations that they're not used to usually results in failure. They got their inning out of Axford. Don't risk a 25-30 pitch inning for him.

Prediction: The strike out that turns into a base hit will end up costing the Brewers a run.

Narveson runs out of gas in the 6th...Brewers probably going to lose against the Phillies split squad. The Phillies just do what's necessary to win games. They're not flashy, they're damn good.

Carpenter tonight and the 4 of the best pitchers in the NL to follow. This could turn out to be a quiet week for the Brewer's offense. Maybe Ed Sedar should start bringing a book to the ballpark.
