Snell at 125+ plus pitches in the 7th. Is Billy Martin managing the Pirates? -
What do you mean Santa is not real?

Why can't Dave Bush finish off these no-hitters? Bill Hall's play at 3rd was one of the finest you'll ever see. Considering that it saved a no-hitter in the 8th inning makes it even more impressive.

I think this pitching staff leads the league in walks...but I may be wrong.
-
I wonder what the MLB record is for bases-loaded walks in a season. The Brewers must be getting close to it and it's still freakin' April.
-
Apparently Bill Castro's pitching philosophy is: Don't throw strikes.

Is this team worth getting excited about?

Now that's what I call optimism! Thanks, Joe. You make it sound so easy for the Brewers. Let's hope their first 10 game streak started yesterday. -
He threw it for strike 2.
-
I wish the Brewer's had a few hitters like Murphy.
-
I was thinking the same thing. I hope were not forced to use the "Yosted" phrase!
-
I simpy can't envision how Suppan could ever make it past the middle of the Met's order without giving up at least one run.

When a team is struggling, even the umpires are against you.

Figeroa blowing Braun away with two mid-80's fastballs. Sheesh.

Man, it seems like we've been down this road only too recently. We're already looking towards the next crop of budding superstars to replace the current crop that didn't pan out as hoped. That being said, the infusion of new minor league talent always provides excitement. -
Is this team worth getting excited about?

My original post wasn't a response to how bad the team is playing, but a general ambivalence I've had for this team since spring training started. Brewer fans bought over 3 million tickets last year and rewarded with a mediocre offseason. I don't view Braden Looper as the missing piece of the puzzle. Or Duffy. Or Julio. I can't figure out why Jason Kendall is allowed to play so many games. Jeff Suppan makes my eyes bleed. Put Hardy in the second spot in the order and leave him there. -
hmmm...Bill Hall said that the Brewers were out of their slump after the win against Cincy.

Nice article from Brewerfan's Brooklyn field office!

I've been following the Brewers since Robin Yount was a rookie. That is a lot of years. For most of those years the team was pretty crappy. I stuck with them for some reason. Maybe it is because I like listening to Bob Uecker. I don't know, I like baseball. I really love Brewer baseball. Yet, I cannot get excited about this team. Please tell me why I should be excited about Brewer baseball in 2009. I need some positive reinforcement. Thanks.

Their hapless beats our hapless because they have the home field advantage. We don't take 2 out of 3.

I like to read the vent thread because I find out that others are just as ticked off as I am. For some reason that lowers my blood pressure after a disturbing loss. Therefore, the vent thread is good for ones health. At least mine!

At least we won't have to watch Cordero get another save.
-
3 more LOB. Prince will hit a meaningless HR in the bottom of the ninth with the bases empty and the Brewers down 7-1.
-
One run in the last 7 innings off that vaunted Reds pitching staff. .
-
If there is a team in baseball that is more frustrating than the Brewers, then I feel very sorry for their fans.

Your not going to win a lot of games when your 3-4-5 hitters have averages of .192, .208 and .111, respectively.
