Has the T Plush persona "jumped the shark"?

No. -
People on this board will complain if it takes us 5 games to win the World Series instead of 4.

For $150 I feel guilty using this thing..it's like I stole something. After the logging fix, this thing is much snappier. WebOS isn't bad at all. I haven't tried overclocking it but hear that it makes it comparable to an iPad in terms of responsiveness. With all the hype this thing is getting, I'd be stunned if HP didn't bring it back from the dead in some form. Here's a good Touchpad getting started guide.

FYI for anyone looking to get in on this deal: Amazon has had them in stock periodically throughout the day and will price match. They also had them as Gold Box deals today. I got a 32GB one for $475.30. After a chat with a CSR, I'll be getting it for the $149 price. Just make sure you buy it from Amazon.com LLC, not a third party seller.

Greinke wearing the wrong uniform. Awesome.

If McGehee's lack of performance at the plate isn't enough to get him demoted, maybe his lack of effort will. It was absolutely pathetic last night when he got caught off third and didn't even force a throw. If he had tried any less he would have just laid down between third and home and awaited the tag. It would be a fine time to make a change with a day off tomorrow. Hopefully Melvin makes the move despite Roenicke's wishes.

How the heck do they miss that call? Unbelievable.
-
He absolutely should have. An out there is huge. That run doesn't really matter.

You mean this isn't the daily vent thread?

I'll echo the suggestion to go free. I've never had any issues using Microsoft Security Essentials.

I can see Corey trying to draw a throw there, but what the hell was Lucroy thinking?
-
Wow, that was a thing of beauty.

Gomez can make you want to stand up and clap after a great play in center, and then he'll have an at bat that makes you want to punch him through your TV. He has no plate discipline and is not the smartest base runner, but his outstanding defense gives him value. Gomez has no place batting second the lineup, but I have no problem with him getting regular starts in CF even when Morgan comes back.

I can certainly agree with some of the criticisms of Betancourt. He moves pretty slow in the field and has always had a low obp. Still, some of the bashing is outrageous...claims that he can't get to balls unless they're hit right to him, claims that a guy like Luis Cruz would be an upgrade, etc. I'm pretty sure that every time a ball gets through the left side, there are BF.netters out there that jump off their couches and run to their computers hoping to get the first "Yuni Sucks" post in.

Go with Kinzler. Lefty or not Braddock has been off lately.
-
So you were ready to hand the SS spot to Luis Cruz after one good year following a career of mediocrity in the minors, but you also discredit small sample sizes?

The Bring Brandon Boggs to the Majors Thread

.250/.333/.292 is hitting? He's the master of the 4-3 ground-out, but compared to most of our other bench players, he's pounding the ball. Some people still try to make it seem like he's been using his bat as a cane, though. -
Espinosa is a switch hitter and is better from the right side.

I blame Prince for not stretching from the ball side of the base. He didn't even need to come off the base to catch that. First Base 101 teaches you not to set up for your stretch until the ball is in the air. Apparently Prince went to DH 101 instead.
-
Prince sucks and that is Betancourt's fault? Betancourt's "lollygagging" should have gotten Werth out easily. I'm not saying that Betancourt is a remotely good SS, but a first baseman needs to make that catch. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i283/Giffted/PrinceFail.png

Yuni's throw was off, but that mess was more on Prince. A good first baseman comes off the bag to catch Yuni's throw and puts a tag on Werth. A bad first basemen comes off the bag and catches it, keeping Werth at first. Then you have Prince, who glues himself to the bag and lets the ball go off his glove.
-
Catch the freaking ball, Prince.
-
Yeah, its probably not the best idea to just waste a pitcher in a tie game.
