  1. I'm afraid of heights. It gets worse if I am high up and someone touches me or gets close to me.
  2. I was 11 when I started reffing soccer. Everyone starts out at the youngest age possible which was pretty much 7 year olds. It's amazing how much parents complain even for kids that young. Normally I really didn't have many complaints but on days when it would rain all the kids would want to slide and get muddy. There really isn't much I can do if they are doing that while not breaking the rules. The parents wanted me to make them stop because it was dangerous. I did that for almost 3 years and oddly enough my last game was in the rain with tons of complaints. My first real job was in the restaurant at Silver Spring Country Club. I started at 14 as a dishwasher and after about 6 months I moved up and did other things like cut meat out in the restaurant for people on weekday parties, Fridays I fried fish, Saturday I put together and made some of the food for the Sunday brunch, and Sundays I either kept the brunch buffet line full or made omelets. I ended up working there for two years and looking back I wished I would have taken advantage of the free golf more often.
  3. In one league I had a 54 game hitting streak. That spanned over 4 years. I always talked about how I only wanted to pass Joe Dimaggio and after that I wouldn't care when it ended. I went 0-2 with a sac fly up until the start of the 7th. I tried to rally the team to get me one more at bat. Everyone was fired up and we hit almost through the whole lineup until I got up. I got my last shot...I hit a hard grounder and the SS grabs it backhanded and throws off his back foot on a 99 mph line drive. I was out by a step. My life was over and I haven't stopped drinking since. The SS also wasn't part of their original team and the rumor has it that he was part of Land O' Lakes. I still can't get over this and I don't know that I ever will.
  4. I would be an Indians fan as well. I'm some what surprised to see so many people pick the Indians.
  5. Back to back nights in the drunk thread...I'm loving it. Crazy K, go call your girl up. Get your tie and be that guy.
  6. This fell all the way to page four? You guys are pathetic. It may be even more pathetic that I have the last two posts in this thread.
  7. It's a 99 Galant so it's not worth sticking $900 into something as simple as a distributor. I highly doubt they stuck a couple hours into diagnosing it. The longest route they could have taken would be to check to see if its getting gas, then check spark. When they found out there was no spark the most logical place to check would be the coil or distributor. That should take under 30 min. My advice would be to call around to some local shops and see what they can do for you. See if you can save yourself some money and go from there. Otherwise have a friend with some automotive experience do it. He/she should have no problem doing it.
  8. I wouldn't even let them install the part. Their labor is way too much as well. It is easy enough that it could be installed in 10 min.
  9. Actually, they probably jacked up the price on the part anyways. Which Firestone is this? I'd take the car out of there and take it somewhere else. Tell them something like you don't have the money right now and you will bring it back in a month or so. That way they don't jack you up on diagnostic tests or whatever else they did.
  10. Yeah, very wrong. How much is the part?
  11. The tickets are gone. Thanks
  12. I have four tickets for todays game but I can no longer go. I would like to get face value for them which is $59 a ticket. If you only need two tickets I can separate them too. They are in section 107 and row 42. If anyone is interested send me a PM with your phone number. I won't have much time to drive very far but can meet up in a reasonable distance. I am in Menomonee Falls.
  13. Is there a way to search for something in all cities instead of just one at a time?
  14. I just got done drinking after a big overtime softball game and finally realized that I left my tab open at a bar. I hope I don't have any problems with that tomorrow.
  15. I can't imagine being 9 years old playing against 5 year olds. At that age its just a huge advantage. I also find it hard to believe that all these kids would lie to you and say hes 9 if hes not. If you are pretty sure that this is true I wouldn't hesitate to call the kid out on it. Thats just terrible that his parents would allow him to do this and coach for that matter.
  16. I have a 10 year old yellow lab and we have been giving her glucosamine for a little over a month. She started getting arthritis in her elbow about 6+ months ago. The pain was noticeably better after about a month of giving her the glucosamine.
  17. We could always find a field just outside of Milwaukee too. Also, if we are doing this in Aug. I can't make it on the 17th, 18th, and 19th. The Radman can't make those dates as well. We have a softball tournament that weekend. Hopefully it doesn't end up on that weekend.
  18. What time do you guys think I would have to get there at to make sure I get a bobblehead? Would 10 be alright?
  19. I can no longer make it to this tourny if we were going to get in it. It looks doubtful that we would at this point anyways. Just thought I would let you guys know if there was some last minute interest.
  20. I haven't noticed much of a difference in price. If anything the SGA ones are slightly more expensive but not much.
  21. I am absolutely terrified of heights. I get real nervous walking over a bridge when I'm close to the railing. I would probably pass out in mid air if I ever went skydiving.
  22. The Rampage is gone but the Wave started an outdoor team to replace them. I think they are still around but not sure.
  23. I would play.
  24. Not in any order: Utley Sizemore Griffey Jr. Mauer Helton
  25. Happy Birthday guys.
