  1. Congratulations, Braun, on a job....done
  2. Brian: "A SHOT into left field!" I would say that leaked into left field, but hey I'll take it.
  3. I am more than happy to be wrong. I think you were mostly right. That should have been an inning-ending double play. You just overestimated the horribleness.
  4. BUME. Nice job on Pie, Benny. That could have easily ended much worse.
  5. Blech! That should have been an EASY two
  6. That's enough walks now, Ben, okay? Kyle, I'm seriously.
  7. I would have to agree. Just because LaRussa does it does not mean its automatically a good idea. If it did, you would see more managers knocking down a fifth of Jack every night before driving home for the evening.
  8. Huh. Sent sheets up there to hack. Now watch him pitch to one guy and give way to McClung.
  9. dang... Braun may have scored there. Had he not been caught with his pants down of course.
  10. That was a pretty anemic inning. From the look of this game so far, we're not going to be able to post too many 1-2-3 innings in this game before we get down by a bundle.
  11. Too bad it happened the one time in the past 7 games that we can't get a decent game out of our starting pitcher.
  12. Was it seriously a warm April? Man, I would have sworn this was one of the crappiest Aprils in recent history. I am not being sarcastic or argumentative, I am legitimately surprised to hear that if it's true. Maybe my memory of April is being poisoned by the overall suckitude of this past winter.
  13. This team seems to be following a familiar script. If everything holds true to form, I know precisely when the Brewers will start hitting. It will happen at the exact moment the entire pitching staff falls apart - which is coming - and we will start losing games 9-7, 10-8 instead of 3-2, 3-0.
  14. I'm also going to have to get off Yost's back for "bullpen mismanagement" here pretty soon, as out of the 9 guys he's got out there, he appears to be down to Shouse and Torres as reliable options. Everyone else (Turnbow's one good inning notwithstanding) has been garbage of late.
  15. One stinking run in the last 19 innings. BOOOOOOOO
  16. we are seriously going to go with turnbow? *holding breath*
  17. "He's an All Star pitcher" BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH HAAAAAAAAAAAAH HAAAAAAAH!! I didn't realize all you needed was an undeserved all-star appearance from a previous year. What's Pete Vuckovich and Rollie Fingers doing these days? I think they have a couple of all-star games under their belts, too.
  18. We need an Official Curse A Blue Streak thread.
  19. Most hated figures in today's game: 1) Ned Yost 2) Derrick Turnblow 3) LaRussa 4) Troy Glaus and his stupid ugly mug 5) Eric Gagne (just because I had to watch him warm up, ostensibly to pitch in a 5th straight game) Rickie would have almost certainly cracked the top 5 had he not finally gotten a hit tonight. This team is hard to like right now.
  20. Well, that sucked. This one probably wasn't *all* Yost's fault, but he certainly wasn't helping, either.
  21. Come on, crew, get one here. I hate to have to go out with the pitchfork-wielding mob two nights in a row.
