  1. Unless things have totally changed since the BF days, you've been here long enough to know that this isn't a board that you can just say "you're all a bunch of babies" and have it be cool.
  2. If you'll go back to page 8 there were indeed posters saying they didn't think it was a good idea.
  3. Right, and no one came out to get him when it was obvious he couldn't find the plate.
  4. Always a cool move to resort to name calling when other opinions differ from your own.
  5. No one is worried about the division. The division is won. But any loss like this is a brutal blow to their chances of a top 2 seed.
  6. Winner If you can't find the strike zone because you've been massively overworked lately, perhaps you're not the guy that should be on the mound in a 2 run game.
  7. Yes, he's sucked, he's been terrible. No, Nootbar shouldn't have struck out. You're asking for gifts that Devin didn't earn. Murph blew this one.
  8. I'm LMAO too. You're crying because Nootbar didn't get rung up on Ball 4 when the very next hitter actually DID get rung up on Ball 4. Is every close pitch that doesn't go our way just a total injustice?
  9. Complaining about a strike that wasn't even a strike is weak sauce. Yes, this umpire has sucked. No, that wasn't an actual strike to Nootbar.
  10. He's pitched in (checks notes) 5 games in the last week, 5 out of the last 6 games, with an average outing of over 16 pitches per outing, all the while returning from a major injury that has kept him out most of the season. He has indeed been run into the ground.
  11. Hoskins is junk. Nice work, Rhys. Not even going to try to move him over?
  12. Hey, Murphy screwed up. Big time. It's ok to point that out.
  13. Yes, and then we got a K back on Goldschmidt that also should have been a walk.
  14. When your closer has already been run into the ground and clearly can't find the strike zone. You don't manage him like ChatGPT would just because he's a "closer". He's still a human.
  15. Shut up, Pat. You got a gift on Goldy, this could be over. You did this all.
  16. 100% on Murphy. Devin is not a robot. He's been run into the ground lately, was run into the ground last night and was run into the ground again tonight.
  17. Pat all smug last night about a reporter asking why Megill couldn't pitch the 8th because he hasn't gone in awhile, but Devin can be run into the ground. Got it. Great call, Murph. Thanks for this one.
  18. It's a ball. It just wasn't called that way for us.
  19. It matters a lot. A top 2 seed gets to skip past a whole round of postseason.
  20. If he's not ready to pitch in an MLB game he should have been sent on a rehab assignment. Calling him up and basically saying he can't be used his first 2 games is a senseless waste of roster space.
  21. This already has disaster written all over it. Devin is gassed. Meanwhile we are just wasting a roster spot on Megill who apparently just can't pitch.
  22. You know what's crazy? These guys were actually much worse in the 90s when there was really NO accountability for their actions, when there was no statcast or AI or Hawk Eye to show the world when they blew a call. Now they at least have eyes on them and social media telling them they suck, even though we haven't really accomplished anything beyond that.
  23. Terrible, but unsurpising strike 3 call.
